Featured Column – Mobile Games We Wish Existed

GamingonPhone’s Mobile Games We Wish Existed is a fun column where we imagine creative game concepts and explore how popular IPs could be made for mobile. From fan-favorite franchises to niche gems, we dive into what could make these dream games both exciting and playable on the go.

What is The Beginning After the End all about

If I had to sum it up, The Beginning After the End is an isekai fantasy that began as a light novel, later adapted as a Manhwa (Korean Manga), following the journey of Arthur Leywin, one of the most popular overpowered protagonists in the scene.

He was once a powerful King, who got isekaid (reincarnated) after his mysterious death into a fantasy world, teeming with magic, monsters, dragons, ancient clans, political interest, powerful characters, and more.

In this life, he aims to rectify his past mistakes, but starts over as a magic-wielding baby with all his past knowledge, and becomes the strongest mage in his universe at the end.

It recently got an anime adaptation, though fans weren’t happy with the animation quality. Still, that won’t be the case for a game adaptation, considering it has so much potential if done right. It covers everything from intense battles, emotional moments, massive wars, the mana system, and a fanbase that is ready for it.

It can be designed to provide an open-world adventure RPG experience

Considering how rich and vast the world of TBATE is, I believe an open-world adventure RPG or similar would be great for it. For instance, just imagine starting as a rookie adventurer in the kingdom of Dicathen, and you get to choose your race from human, elf, dwarf, or even an asura.

On top of that, if you could also develop your core and your element affinity like fire, earth, wind, lightning, ice, and more, similar to the manhwa. It would surely make the experience more immersive. With such a great lore, magical content, and so much more, TBATE deserves a game like this.

Art style and visuals for an imagined The Beginning After The End game

If someday, a game based on TBATE becomes a reality, just imagine how great it would be if it had stunning visuals similar to Genshin Impact or Oceanhorn 2. And it will surely be more amazing if we can explore through lush, detailed landscapes, with smooth animation that properly reimagine the Kingdom.

For character design, I would love to see vibrant anime artwork, similar to Honkai Impact 3D or Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, but with the unique charm of TBATE’s characters. I love the Ghibli-style visuals in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, and it would be nice if something similar could be done here.

And, since we are hoping for a TBATE game, with its deep lore, intense fight scenes, and emotional moments, I want to see beautiful cinematic cutscenes in between the gameplay. I want the game to provide an immersive experience, more than just amazing visuals.

Beloved characters that could shine in a TBATE Game

Another thing that would make a TBATE game more appealing and exciting is the chance to unlock and use the amazing cast of characters we all love. Just imagine getting to recruit Tessia Eralith, the heiress of the Elven Kingdom, or Kezess Indrath, the leader of the Indrath Clan, and one of the strongest characters.

Not only that, it can even include powerful Asuras like Aldir or Kordri, who are also some of the strongest in the series, each bringing their unique abilities and gameplay style. I would also love it if a future game gives us more lore for these characters, like what if Sylvie had her moves and skills.

And not only I, but the whole TBATE community would love to go against villains like Lucas Wykes once again, or his half-brother, Bairon Wykes, or even the main antagonist of the series, Agrona Vritra himself, making for some exciting, action-packed Boss battles.

What excites me more is how each of these characters could bring more for us, whether strong combos, synergy-based skills, or attacks, and I would love the opportunity to build my dream team around some of these exciting characters.

Why a TBATE game will be great for mobile

I believe a TBATE game would do better on mobile, making its rich storyline and fantasy world accessible to everyone around the globe. More importantly, with the anime being seasonal with different arcs, it will be great content-wise, for regular updates, drops, and more.

Plus, TBATE also has a global fanbase, from web novel to manhwa readers, and now anime fans, all glued to it. I mean, the anime’s animation quality was questionable, but the storyline is still great. I think a TBATE game could easily appeal to players who enjoy story-driven or action-focused games.
