Solo Leveling: ARISE brings a massive update with various content to celebrate its 1st Anniversary
Solo Leveling: ARISE is an action RPG based on the hit webtoon, Solo Leveling. In this game, you play as fan-favourite Sung Jinwoo and relive his journey from the world’s weakest Hunter to its strongest hunter, along with brand-new exclusive stories, iconic webtoon characters, and more.
Originally releasing an official website in 2023, followed by its full release on mobile on May 8, 2024, it is now celebrating its 1st Anniversary. This title, achieving 50 million downloads in just five months, brings new content, including a powerful new hunter, fresh stories, exclusive in-game events, and more.
Solo Leveling: ARISE introduces a new Hunter: Cha Hae-In
I’m super excited as Cha Hae-In, the Pure Sword Princess, has finally joined the game as a water-type SSR hunter. Originally, Jinwoo’s partner and the Vice-Guild Master of the Hunters Guild, but this version of her comes from an alternate timeline lost to the endless cycle of the Cup of Reincarnation.
In this timeline, she is the Guild Master of the Valkyrie Guild. I love her Ultimate, letting you summon a radiant blade of pure light that slices through the sky, with a storm of celestial swords rain down, piercing through enemy lines.
Solo Leveling: ARISE new story chapters
The 1-year anniversary update also introduces new stories with more content. It introduces Chapters 24 and 25, each with a main, and two side chapters. These stories feature the Knights Guild raid in Busan and a dungeon break at Sung Jinah’s school, added to Main Story normal and hard.
Moreover, as new stories are added, new Battle Mission Achievement Rewards for Normal and Hard mode will be added accordingly.
Introduces the new Workshop of Brilliant Light – The Distorted Sanctuary stage in
You can now challenge Yogumunt, the Monarch of Transfiguration, in the new Workshop of Brilliant Light – The Distorted Sanctuary stage. This new dungeon, The Distorted Sanctuary, is available in easy, normal modes, and you can unlock it after clearing Spire of Transfiguration – Easy.
You can challenge it after reaching Battle Tier 40, and the boss, Yogumunt, who is one of the strongest Monarchs in the webtoon, is added to the Special Commission list. I hated him in the webtoon, so I’m pumped to beat him in-game now.
New Instance Dungeon mode boss
The Ant King, one of the most powerful monsters, is now available in the Instance Dungeon mode. He is strong against Fire Element, but weak against Water Element. Like Yogumunt, he is also added to the Special Commission list, and you’ll receive rewards based on the defeat count.
New Job Change for Sung Jinwoo and Blessing Stones
What’s even better is that Jinwoo’s level cap has been expanded to Lv.100, along with a new Job Change tier. You can now upgrade him with a new job change, Monarch of Shadows: Dawn Sentinel. Plus, it’s not just a title, as it also unlocks powerful new skills that will transform your approach to battles.
On top of that, you can now collect nine new Blessing Stones, available in Rare, Heroic, Legendary, and Transcendent grades. They are available in two types, the Enhancement type and the Survival type Blessing stones, which are as follows:
- Enhancement type Blessing Stones: Sandbag, Crushing Attack, Irresistible Force, First Strike Barrage, and Lightning Speed.
- Survival type Blessing Stones: Ravenous Instinct, Best Defense is a Good Offense!, Irreversible Road, and Swift Restoration.
New Costume for Sung Jinwoo
I’m especially hyped for the 1st Anniversary Daily Mission, which will arrive in-game on May 26, running until June 12, 2025. The reason for my excitement is that, by clearing in-game daily missions, you can obtain Eleventh Hour Blade, Sung Jinwoo’s Pixiv Competition-winning Costume.
Solo Leveling: ARISE 1st Anniversary new events
You’re in for a treat, as the game also introduces a series of events to celebrate its 1st Anniversary. The following events are now live in-game until July 3, 2025:
- 1st Anniversary Appreciation Event! Check-In Gift: You can log in daily to earn rewards like the 1st Anniversary Celebration SSR Hunter Selection Ticket, and more.
- 1st Anniversary Mission Challenge: You can exchange the points you earn from missions for 100 Custom Draw Tickets.
- 1st Anniversary Dice Exploration Event: You can roll the dice to get special rewards, including a 1st Anniversary Celebration SSR Sung Jinwoo Weapon Selection Ticket, and more.
All of this new content, character, and events are really great, to reward the loyal fanbase. That being said, you also have the chance to receive Special hidden rewards in your mailboxes if the number of pre-registrants exceeds one million, with pre-registered players will get 10 Custom Draw Tickets.
