Since its relaunch in India, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has become one of the most popular games in the country, with a thriving active player base that plays the game actively. Recently, there have been reports on the release date of the upcoming BGMI 3.8 update. Since 2024, BGMI has received a plethora of updates, including new game modes, skins, and collaborations. For the first official BGMI esports tournament of 2025, Krafton India announced an exclusive BGIS crate. The game also released the new map, Rondo, within the game in the previous update.
According to reports, the BGMI 3.8 Update will be released on May 11 in India. The theme for the upcoming update is Steampunk Frontier. The primary theme is all about steam engine trains within the game.
New trains will be present on the map of Erangel. During a match, the express train will travel on a fixed route. There will also be an exclusive Attack on Titan game mode where players can become rampaging titans.
This route starts and ends at the Sosnovka Military Base while covering various hotspots in the game like Quarry, Shooting Range, Gatka, and Hospital. Players can receive various drops while boarding the train in the driver’s cabin. Players can also receive multiple energy drinks from the attendant at the back of the train.
New sky rails will also allow players to travel from one end of the Cargo dock to another. Fans can ride a rollercoaster and even hop into a hot air balloon within this update. New Features To Be Released In This Update

New features have also been added to the classic update mode. The first feature in the upcoming update is that the vehicle Pillar UAZ will now be available on the new map, Rondo. One must note that not all players can fire while inside the car.
Now, all motorcycles and bicycles will also allow the driver to shoot. Alongside, BGMI will introduce new items like the spare tire and weapons like the sticky bomb in the game. Thus, the upcoming BGMI 3.8 update is one of the most game-defining updates to launch.
