Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann, former pro and and coach of OG’s Dota 2 team has stepped down from his role amid a shuffle in the organization. The change was announced in a post released on May 5.
KheZu’s decision to step down from his role as coach in OG was sad, but in exchange, OG will have a bigger overhaul. The founder of OG himself, Johan “N0tail” Sundstein now becomes head coach of the team, which is great news for fans, longing for his return.

N0tail In, KheZu Out of OG Coaching Spot
Truthfully, KheZu’s departure from OG’s roster was not a surprise considering how underwhelming OG has been recently. They have had multiple player changes throughout the season, and even their most promising line-up, which featured Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Yap “xNova” Jian Wei, ultimately fumbled expectations and disbanded .
Hence, another player change at OG’s current state of things, isn’t out of the ordinary. Yet, OG had something big in stall for their team and fans with their announcement on N0tail’s new role as head coach of OG, but not to be confused with the other OG.LATAM roster.
Words from N0tail about his role
Well, what better way to hype up the fan excitement by having N0tail himself share a few words about what to expect from this latest venture. According to N0tail, the PGL Wallachia tournament, particularly Season 2, really inspired him to get back into the Dota 2 scene. Hence, he was playing and practicing Dota 2, likely in ranked Immortal games. To his pleasant surprise, the years of retirement did not make him rusty and in fact, he felt that he even improved after such a long hiatus.
On a serious note, N0tail shared that his objective of this new project was to build the new OG roster with having better and more communication. It’s not just team morale and motivation that he’s talking about here, but also on how he communicate the Dota 2 meta and theories that the team can envision winning with. In hindsight, he felt that this was an aspect that he never really managed to do well in his past teams, which is a humble statement, coming from a Dota 2 pro who has accomplished many feats.
Despite simply being a head coach who watches from the sidelines, N0tail expressed that he wants his ideas and solutions be implemented. While this may sound assertive and selfish, N0tail’s vision is ultimately to have the whole team work out the plan together on this journey.
OG Dota 2 roster 2025
Speaking of the team roster, it is by no means an impressive look on paper, which includes:
- Bilguun “423” Altanginj
- Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau
- Tamir “daze” Tokpanov
- Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev
The offlane role is still vacant since Ceb left, and when Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn tried but he did not make the cut. Regardless, perhaps N0tail’s vision for the team is more than just recruiting the best Dota 2 players available for the new OG line-up in 2025. After all, if N0tail manages to deliver results and bring OG to its former glory with this amateur roster, it would certainly be a great underdog story to tell.
