Mobile Legends Esports is currently hosting season 15 of MPL ID.
Mobile Legends MPL ID and NBA partnership to run for a long time; aims for growth
Traditional sports have always been an important aspect for Indonesian players which is also the primary reason for partnering up with the NBA. It will also extend the title’s influence to traditional sports as well.
On the other hand, the NBA will also be exposed before the esports scenario, a massively growing opportunity as an industry. Both IPs will try to build a positive synergy out of the collaboration and take lessons from the result. It will help the brand to build a more sustainable esports culture.

Jordan Adams also viewed the partnership most positively. He said that it would be a great opportunity from both ends and the new journey would expand quickly. His current club also has quite some influence in Indonesia and working with the fast-growing title will allow him to share and learn a lot.
MLBB draws heavy inspiration from the NBA and leverages each other’s IP to grow together
GamingonPhone asked about the inspiration behind this collaboration. We also wanted to know how this partnership aligns with each brand’s long-term growth strategy, especially in Southeast Asia. Martinus said that the franchise model by the NBA was something they always wanted to learn and integrate. Besides, both games align in a similar format. “We have always taken traditional sports as a reference. They are 5v5 with specific roles and the objective is very clear,” he said.
NBA also served as an inspiration for professionalism, influence, and growth. “We want to be like the NBA as how it influenced a whole generation“. The game wants to make it a lifestyle. So, it is currently just scratching the surface. The influence of the NBA will be huge in other SEA countries such as the Philippines.

We also asked about the plans to integrate other entities like MotoGP, English Premier League clubs, etc. The game is talking possibilities with several other franchises. So, there might be some interesting collaborations coming up, but we have to wait for the details when that happens.
The NBA is one of the top professional sports leagues in the world, rooted in North America. On the other hand, Mobile Legends Esports is currently leading from the front in mobile esports and competing head-to-head with top-tier PC and other platform-based titles. So, the partnership between Mobile Legends MPL ID and NBA is sure to bring a positive impact for both the franchises and also open a path for the game to incorporate a steady rise in its esports.
