BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 Opening Matches Preview & Predictions

The brutal Counter-Strike calendar waits for no one, with yet another event set to begin just days after Vitality emerged victorious at IEM Melbourne 2025. That event is BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, where just eight teams will take part in BLAST’s final CS2 event for the first half of the year.

With just four opening matches at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, it’s time to analyze each one and make a few predictions. Frankly, the lopsided nature of the teams at this event should make predicting each match a doozy!

Vitality vs. Wildcard

It’s now 21 consecutive matches unbeaten for Vitality after their win at IEM Melbourne 2025. Assuming they don’t suffer debilitating jet lag from their trip down under, that is soon to be 22. Don’t get me wrong – I think Wildcard are a good team, even if they’re not in their best moment right now. But this Vitality lineup are a machine, and it’s really hard to envision anything but a win in this one. Sorry, stanislaw and friends – hopefully you can make this one competitive.

Our prediction: Vitality 2:0 Wildcard

MOUZ vs. paiN Gaming

MOUZ‘s Melbourne may have been cut short by Falcons, but they’re still among the best CS2 teams in the world. Their struggles to get over the line in Playoff matches are well established at this point, but these Group Stage games against teams like paiN Gaming are MOUZ’s bread and butter. The inconsistency of paiN Gaming in recent times means that I can only really see a MOUZ clean sweep in this one. If I were a BLAST Rivals betting man, I know where my money would lie.

Our prediction: MOUZ 2:0 paiN Gaming

Team Spirit vs. FlyQuest

It has been a hot minute since we last saw Team Spirit on the server. Their recent showings have been pretty uninspiring for what is supposed to be a top team, but when you see the tactical depth a team like Vitality has, you can see why Team Spirit have struggled to win trophies this year. Even still, I expect Team Spirit to walk all over a FlyQuest team that have looked slightly improved since benching dexter. FlyQuest are still FlyQuest though, which is why I’ve got Team Spirit down as winning this one.

Our prediction: Team Spirit 2:0 FlyQuest

FaZe Clan vs. Falcons

Of all the big teams in 2025, FaZe Clan have undoubtedly been the biggest disappointment. Their misery seemingly has no end at the moment, and I expect a Falcons squad that continues to improve to pile on in their BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 opening match. Of all the matches, this one has the potential to be the closest, if FaZe Clan can show a better side to themselves. That’s such a massive “if,” though.

Our prediction: FaZe Clan 0:2 Falcons
