eFootball 2025 starts rolling out the April 2025 edition of its League Selection packs, and this time, the English League Selection has quite a few interesting cards. While some big names return, there’s also a good mix of upcoming talent and meta-friendly defenders.
It’s not the flashiest of lineups, but some cards are worth the spin if you want to add strong picks. Here’s my breakdown of the top 5 picks from the pack based on utility and in-game feel. I’ve also added a quick take on the rest of the players in this pack.
1. Micky van de Ven
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
This card screams meta eFootball defender. Van de Ven‘s biggest asset is his raw speed, which is rare for a center-back of his size. It allows him to keep up with most strikers, making him one of the few defenders who can comfortably recover from a high line.
On top of that, he’s physically dominant and very reliable in one-on-one situations. Sure, he might not offer much in ball distribution, but his defensive game makes him a top-tier pick in this pack.
2. Eberechi Eze
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
A little biased, but I love this card. Eze is just fun to play with. He’s slick on the ball, dribbling is pretty smooth, and he has great close control too. You can name him as someone you’d want just behind the striker to exploit gaps and pull off those sharp turns and sudden bursts.
He might not be the most physical presence, but his technical play more than makes up for it. He has a good finish too when I tried him in an SS build, but his utility factor to play in multiple attacking positions is something you can’t ignore. Worth a try if you enjoy quick attackers.
3. Alisson Becker
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
Alisson remains a go-to option for anyone who likes using sweeper-keepers. His ability to rush out and close down attackers is a major asset, especially in high-line and defending against long and through balls. He’s very consistent with reflex saves and feels dependable under pressure.
4. Pervis Estupinan
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
Estupinan is one of those rare full-backs who can sprint up and down the flank all game long. This card boosts his stamina while making him solid defensively, still good numbers going forward. So you can say he always looking to deliver crosses and join attacks.
He won’t be the best if you’re looking for complete balance, surely, but as a two-way full-back, he’s got more than enough tools to stay relevant in matches.
5. Jadon Sancho
- Position: LWF
- Playing Style: Prolific Winger
Sancho’s card is built for dribblers. Quick, agile, and with stats to take on defenders, this version of him feels especially smooth with the ball at his feet. He is good in tight areas, especially around the box, and his close control makes him tough to dispose of, although his physical meta might be too heavy.
His final product could be better in some situations, especially if you rely heavily on goals from your winger, but if you enjoy dribbling, Sancho is a fun card to work with.

- Bruno Guimaraes (DMF/Orchestrator): Calm, composed, and always looking to keep things ticking in midfield. A solid passer who offers good defensive support, though he won’t really wow you with flair or quick bursts.
- Marcus Rashford (LWF/Prolific Winger): Fast, powerful, and made for counter-attacks. He’s effective running in behind, but don’t expect strong, consistent performances.
- Yukinari Sugawara (RB/Offensive Wingback): High work rate, always on the move up and down the right flank. Decent going forward, defensively average but not too bad. Average to good.
- Enes Unal (CF/Fox in the Box): Big presence in the box with solid heading and finishing. Great if you need a sneaky forward to stay in front for a finish.
- Ethan Nwaneri (AMF/Hole Player): A young, developing playmaker with decent movement and ball control. Fun card for sure, love that playstyle, but not a solid showcase, which is expected.
This month’s English League Selection is quite balanced. It doesn’t have those flashy names, but it makes up for it with interesting cards that can evolve into core squad members. Van de Ven and Eze stand out the most for me.
On an overall view, this pack has enough to tempt a few spins. That said, this pack might appeal more to players looking to experiment or fill specific gaps, rather than chase meta-breaking stars.
