Brawl Stars April 2025 Update Release Date
The update is officially dropping on April 22, 2025. Both the new season and the full patch go live then.
Brawl Talk Reveals Kaze: The First Ultra Legendary Brawler In Brawl Stars
Supercell just added a new rarity above Legendary—Ultra Legendary—and the first Brawler in that class is Kaze. She has got this unique dual-persona setup: by day she’s a graceful geisha, and by night she becomes a stealthy ninja.

Each form comes with different weapons, Supers, Gadgets, and Star Powers. Geisha Kaze throws fans that create “strike spots” for delayed damage and summons a fanstorm to limit enemy vision. Ninja Kaze throws shurikens and slices enemies with a Super that marks them for delayed explosions. You can switch styles mid-match, and each has its own Hypercharge. Super high-skill, super fun.
Katana Kingdom Event
Launching May 1, the Katana Kingdom event lasts a month and brings chaos with “Wasabi Powers”—temporary game-changing buffs. There are 60+ powers, from Surge getting max level instantly to Shelly unleashing a circular Super.
To unlock these, you collect Sushi Rolls by winning matches, completing quests, or shopping. Each roll gives 8 random items—Wasabi Powers, cosmetics, Brawlers, even Hypercharges. Filling your Sushi Meter gets you rewards, including the exclusive Oni Kenji Hypercharge Skin.
Right now, you can also get UNO Chester Skin for Free in Brawl Stars.
Brawl Talk Reveals New Modes: Samurai Smash & Oni Hunt
Two fresh new modes are announced. First up, Samurai Smash, a team mode where you fight both enemies and samuraibots. It’s chaotic tug-of-war style fun. Then there’s Oni Hunt, a PvE boss mode where three players team up against demon Kenji. He’s tough, there are daily difficulty levels, and even a 10-player survival leaderboard.
Meet Jae-yong, the Karaoke Brawler

The second new Brawler this season is Jae-yong—an office worker who moonlights as a karaoke king. He switches between Party and Work styles. One heals teammates with musical notes, the other boosts speed with piercing attacks. His Super swaps modes and gives an extra effect—like heals or bonus movement. Gadgets and Star Powers help him deal AoE damage or apply debuffs with… office paperwork.
Eight New Hypercharges in Brawl Talk April 2025
After pushing 6 new hypercharges in the game in the previous update, we’re now getting another bunch of new Hypercharges:
- Kaze (both forms): One deals damage over time, the other gives speed + triggers marked enemy explosions.
- Kenji pulls enemies in and teleports to the center.
- Gus heals and damages with bouncing spirits.
- Griff ricochets coins for big damage.
- Amber gets burning oil that lasts longer.
- Willow becomes untargetable while controlling enemies.
- Clancy bounces paintballs off walls.
- Lily adds bounce effects to her shadow strikes.
Brawl Arena: A 3v3 Mini MOBA
This was teased for the next season, but it’s worth flagging now. Brawl Arena is a brand-new 3v3 mode with in-match leveling, jungle bots, towers, and even a Kaiju boss that gives buffs. It’s short and sweet—just 5-minute matches—but packs in everything you’d expect from a light MOBA. Zero in-game chat, so also less toxicity for everyone.
