A new clue has emerged suggesting Borussia Dortmund might be making a comeback to the eFootball franchise in 2025. Although not official, the fake team of the club has popped up as per multiple reports, and this seems to be a solid chance to see the men in Yellow and Black come to the game.
Borussia Dortmund previously had a four-year licensing deal with KONAMI
Well, this has come from different sources. According to reliable dataminer Durandil PES on X, update 4.4.0 has quietly added a mysterious team named “Zeisjaadicht”, which we have no idea about, but carries Dortmund’s previous team ID.
Alongside this, players on the r/pesmobile subreddit have also shared the details about the same, but this is directly from the game. Although we can’t set this option in the game yet, the team name is listed under the “Other Teams” section.
Back in 2016, KONAMI and Borussia Dortmund had announced a four-year partnership deal which saw BVB’s presence as a licensed team in the PES series. Following the eFootball series, we never saw Dortmund in the game due to licensing restrictions.
Back then, the BVB lineup was crazy, we had high-rated cards like Hummels, Aubameyang, and Reus, and if this news is true, we can expect some crazy good Epic cards. Imagine getting a Lewandowski card of his performance against Madrid from 2013.
While nothing is officially confirmed, all signs point toward a Dortmund comeback in eFootball 2025. We will wait and see how this will go.
