It’s been almost 1,200 days since the Fortnite x Arcane skins have been in the Item Shop. Arcane’s Vi and Jinx have become some of the rarest cosmetics in the entire game, and that may not change any time soon. Epic Games has missed a few key opportunities relating to events for the show the skins are based on to bring them back. The latest update in the saga suggests fans will be waiting a lot longer.

Fortnite Arcane Skins Not Coming Back Soon
Marc Merrill, the co-founder of Riot Games, indicated late last year that the Arcane skins not coming back to Fortnite was their fault and that the issue might be remedied soon . Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Now, Merrill has given an important to update to fans, revealing on X that it won’t be happening any time soon.
“They’ve [Epic Games] been great partners, but we haven’t been able to find the right fit to bring the Arcane skins back, and it unfortunately won’t be happening in the foreseeable future.”
Those who’ve been waiting on the return of Jinx and Vi will have to wait longer, and it seems slightly plausible that they’ll never come back.

The co-founder’s statement indicated that Riot and Epic have been in conversation over the years, but they ultimately couldn’t find a way to get the skins back in the game.
“It won’t be happening in the foreseeable future,” Merrill said. He appreciates the love and support for the Arcane skins, and he promises to let everyone know if the situation ever changes.
The Arcane collaboration remains one of the most popular crossovers in the game despite not being available. Those might one day come back, but after nearly four years and counting seemingly endlessly, players shouldn’t hold their breath for them.
However, similar collaborations like the Dune bundle returned after more than 1,000 days away, so nothing is guaranteed. Just don’t hold your breath.
