Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date
The latest MGS game is slated for release on August 28, 2025 . There is an early access period for those who pre-purchase the game. Those players will get access on August 26. It is not expected that there will be staggered releases for different platforms. All platforms who pre-order will get it on August 26, and everyone else can get it on August 28 regardless of version.

The game will only be available on the big three gaming platforms: Xbox Series X, PC, and PlayStation 5. It’s not on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, since that console will be available by the time the game comes out. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will also not go to Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Very few titles come to those last-gen consoles anymore.

The gameplay trailer shows off exactly what fans have come to expect from the Metal Gear franchise. It harkens back to the original game and features the upgraded graphics that will make this version so beloved. Stealth, fittingly, is on full display. It’s a story trailer with some bits of gameplay, but players who enjoyed the original title will not need much info on the story to be excited.
