PGL Bucharest 2025 Semi-Final Preview
PGL Bucharest 2025 has been one of the most exciting CS2 events of the year so far, offering tons of upsets for fans to enjoy. Although some top teams were in attendance, many have found themselves humbled in a flurry of surprising results. Here’s the tale of the tape for Complexity vs. G2 in the Semi-Final of PGL Bucharest.
- Complexity are hunting for their first Tier 1 Grand Final appearance since IEM Sydney 2023.
- G2 haven’t reached a Grand Final since NiKo left the team for Falcons, who are on the other side of the PGL Bucharest bracket.
These teams have already met during PGL Bucharest 2025, with G2 emerging victorious in a close 2:1 series. Any of those three maps played could have gone either way, though, so it only suggests that we’ll get another very competitive series here.
G2 have won a Tier 1 trophy much more recently than Complexity, having won the BLAST World Final 2024 to round out last year. However, that was G2 with NiKo in the lineup, and the team have struggled to make deep runs in 2025 so far.

Complexity vs. G2 Match Predictions
It should come as no real surprise that the CS2 odds are in favor of G2 seeing out the win in this PGL Bucharest Semi-Final. In this instance, I would agree with that idea – the m0NESY factor is something that Complexity will struggle to overcome. Complexity have had a good run so far, but G2’s star power is undeniable.
For Complexity, nullifying that m0NESY threat will be the main win condition. G2’s “Plan B” has never been particularly impressive in this iteration of the roster, but stopping the AWP prodigy is far easier said than done.

For a potential map pool, we only have to look as far as their recent matchup in Bucharest. There, we saw Dust2, Anubis, and Ancient, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see these teams go for those exact maps once again. Given the fact those maps were pretty much a coin-flip, both teams should be happy to go down the same route again.
G2 are the better team on paper, but Complexity are in excellent form and will fancy themselves to see this one through. I expect a competitive affair decided by the finest of margins, which is why picking out at least one map to go to overtime could be a winner. I’d also play favorites here, picking out G2 to win overall, even if Complexity do manage to take a map for themselves. Check out our picks from the Zinkra CS2 betting markets below.
