Fortnite’s latest season has tons of overpowered mythics and exotics, mainly located in the Black Markets, including the Mythic Minigun. However, with every patch Epic has fiddled with how you actually unlock them. First introducing the exotics, then changing them out for another set, then making them completely random. However, the Mythic minigun is a little different. If you want, you can still track it down every game even with the random weapons in the Black Market.
The Minigun has always been a useful weapon in Fortnite. It can blast through builds much quicker than a lot of weapons. It deals decent damage too. It’s particularly useful in Fortnite seasons where there’s a limited number of them. Where there’s a Mythic Minigun in the game, it can serve as a particularly strong advantage. We saw this in Chapter 2, in Fortnite Remix, and now again in Chapter 6 Season 2. Where can you track down the Mythic Minigun in every game?

How to Get the Mythic Minigun in Fortnite C6 S2
The new Mythic Minigun in Chapter 6 Season 2 is part of the new batch of Mythics and Exotics. You don’t get them from taking down a boss like in a lot of previous seasons. Instead, players unlock these new guns through the Black Market. There are three locations, which now have more random choices of exotics in each season. However, the Mythics aren’t affected.
The last Fortnite update made a big change in making the exotics random. However, the Mythics are still the same in every game. Meaning the Minigun will reliably spawn in each and every game. However, you do still need to get a Dill Bit. If you want to track down the Mythic Minigun in Fortnite, these are the steps in each game:

- Land near the Magic Mosses Black Market
- Try to enter the Black Market First
- Open the backrooms
- Pen up the Outlaw Chest at the back of the room
- Collect the Dill Bit that comes out
- Open up the Mythic Minigun display case behind it
This whole process can be repeated every game, the biggest danger is other players dropping here first.
Getting it First
The big deal with getting a set weapon this season is the hot drops. Since this stuff is available for you to grab without doing the vaults anymore, the Black Markets are hot drops. You might have other players competing off spawn to gain access.
In these cases, you have two choices. The first is to just run and try to get to that chest first. This is do-able, since it’s quite a quick trip into the Black Market’s back room. So, players can easily fall behind. It can give you the time you need to grab the gun. There’s also one of the hireable NPCs down here, so they can act as a guard for you if you’ve managed to get there first.
The other strategy is to grab floor loot. It’s a bit more random, but you should be able to kill players who get ahead of you since there’s very little loot for them to fight back with. If you can secure the gun first, you’ll have a Mythic weapon right off spawn. It can get you in a great situation to win that game.
