Out of the characters dotted around the map, there’s one kind with a much bigger presence in the game, the Fortnite hireable NPC. These are NPCs who go beyond the normal services and join your team as another player. They can be incredibly helpful. Since every player can hire one, teams can potentially double their player count using the Fortnite hireable NPCs!
Although, they move around. Each season changes them. Sometimes they get moved even in the mid-season patches. If you want to consistently collect the Fortnite hireable NPCs in each game, you’ll need to learn where abouts they spawn. These are all of the current Fortnite hireable NPCs you can find in Chapter 6 Season 2:

Fortnite NPCs are all over the map, with tons of different services on offer to players. But the Fortnite hireable NPCs are a little bit different, these are only in a few select places. These are the current Fortnite hireable NPCs.
- Jade – At Rolling Blossoms Farm, the landmark with the colorful fields
- Kendo – Shogun’s Solitude
- Sub-Zero – Sleepwalker’s Peril landmark
- The Night Rose – Demon’s Dojo
These are all available for hire at the moment. You’ll get a different type of character depending on which specialist you go for. Some of these are very useful, and some not so much. The best type of NPC isn’t available in Chapter 6 Season 2 either. These are the types and how they work:

Medic Specialist
This type of Fortnite hireable NPC will heal you’ll. They’ll periodically throw chugs at you and your teammates to keep your HP up. It’s one of the more useful specialists to get on your team.
Supply Specialist
These will provide you with supplies. That’s ammo, materials, those kinds of things. In Zero Builds you can get cover type items from them too. Sometimes shockwaves are there as well.
Heavy
Heavies are another type of Fortnite hireable NPCs. These ones fight, and not particularly well. They chuck grenades all over.
Sub-Zero
Sub-Zero is another hireable NPC, but this one doesn’t have a specific category. Likely since he’s a crossover character with the Fortnite Mortal Kombat collab.
Those are of the Fortnite hireable NPC locations at the moment. Last season, we also had a recon specialist who would scan the surrounding area for you. They’re not in the game right now. They were one of the most useful NPCs, so it makes sense to limit them. We could see more added in the future too with a different Fortnite patch further into the season.
