Warzone Update Changes Ground Loot

Developer Raven Software has released a brand-new update for Call of Duty: Warzone, making some new adjustments to ground loot while also nerfing a controversial operator skin. While most Call of Duty: Warzone players are loving Verdansk’s return with Season 3, a common complaint from the community was with the lackluster ground loot. Thankfully, a new update has now been deployed that aims to rectify the issue.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 is less than a week old, but Raven Software has already deployed multiple updates with numerous bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. On April 7, the studio released a minor update for Call of Duty: Warzone that disabled Snakeshot Ammunition and the Thermal 6x Scope. The former was disabled due to the ammunition’s overpowering nature, while the latter has been temporarily removed from the game as an issue with the scope prevented it from appearing with a glint to enemy players. The update also made adjustments to buy stations and introduced some new bug fixes. Now, just one day later, Raven Software has deployed yet another game update.

Newly surfaced information may confirm that Activision is about to re-release a couple of its most appreciated classic Call of Duty titles.

On April 8, Raven Software released a new in-game update for Call of Duty: Warzone​​​​​​. The update will take effect once players boot up their game and won’t require a patch download. According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, the update includes a nerf for Warzone‘s controversial Terminator operator skin, as Raven Software says the skin has “received a visibility adjustment to ease target identification.” The April 8 update has also adjusted Warzone‘s ground loot, removing the DM-10 Marksman Rifle, Tsarkov Marksman Rifle, and SVD Sniper Rifle from ground loot and supply boxes. Their removal comes after many players complained that the weapons were appearing too often.

It isn’t just Warzone fans that have new changes to check out either, as Treyarch Studios has also been hard at work since Season 3’s launch and has once again released a new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Along with the update, Activision has now rolled out changes to its Ricochet anti-cheat system, which will require all players to complete a new email verification security check when connecting to a new PC platform account for the first time. The update also includes the same Terminator skin nerf, some UI adjustments, stability improvements, and plenty of bug fixes for the new Zombies map, Shattered Veil.

The latest round of changes for Warzone have been highly requested by the community since Season 3 launched on April 3, so it’s great to see Raven Software take on board the feedback and deploy these updates so rapidly. The studio is reportedly finding big success with Season 3, as an industry insider claims that Activision has seen a huge increase in Call of Duty: Warzone‘s player count thanks to the return of Verdansk. With so many players jumping back in and re-experiencing the iconic map, here’s hoping that Raven Software continues to monitor player feedback closely for future updates.
