Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 just dropped its new April 2025 update, packing in fresh content and some big fixes to make the game better overall. The third-person shooter, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, The Division 2, first came out in 2019 and got mostly positive feedback from players.
The Division 2 has kept a solid group of players active over the years, thanks to a constant run of updates that bring new stuff and keep the game fresh. For instance, a previous The Division 2 update added a Valentine’s Event Projects Chain with six new projects and rewards like a backpack, mask, and different caches for players to grab. This latest patch stays with that pattern, delivering fixes and upgrades across Modifiers, Manhunt missions, Gear, Weapons, Talents, and plenty more.

Survival is among the game’s key focuses, as danger lurks around every corner.
The latest patch, titled Y6S3.2, for The Division 2 – one of Ubisoft’s most popular action games – just arrived with fresh content and big fixes to improve the player experience. One key change hits the Friend Referral program. Referred players now get a Level 30 boost plus rewards like the Stinger Hunter Outfit, Stinger LMG, and Stinger Timepiece Backpack Trophy, which they can claim after playing for just two hours. Additionally, Descent mode is now accessible starting at Level 20, instead of the previous requirement of Level 2.
The Division 2 April Update Brings Spring Event
The update also includes the Spring Event, which runs from April 8 to April 22, adding new seasonal content with seven projects and rewards like caches, the Rabbit Season outfit, and a named weapon for The Division 2 players to collect. This update also tackles some major fixes, especially with Modifiers and the Seasonal Journey. Problems where enemies like Marauder Drones and Warhounds got the wrong modifiers are sorted out now. The Fortified Shield Modifier shows the correct visual HP value, and players won’t get stuck in Journey Mission 6 if they reach Tier 5 too soon.
For the UI, missing chevron icons on The Division 2‘s named weapons, like Brutus and Adrestia are back, and the glitch where all three Pulse skill variants unlocked with the first one is gone. The “Complete Prologue” message stops popping up when players try the Level 30 boost early. Other fixes include resolving issues with boosting to New York, clipping issues with The Fool Backpack and Shirt, and voice-over glitches in specific missions. While the DLC for The Division 2 is delayed, these improvements should contribute to a smoother and more polished gameplay experience.
