Should You Fight Kunesh of Bellowitz?

Should You Fight Kunesh of Bellowitz?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has tons of random encounters that players can discover, and one of those involves potentially fighting an elderly knight. Since these encounters are random, players may have to pass by several “Camp by the Road” sites before they encounter Sir Kunesh of Bellowitz. The encounter has a few different pathways, but the player must decide whether to duel Sir Kunesh or ultimately walk away.

The encounter can occur at any “Camp by the Road” site and at any time while the player travels through Trosky in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Players will know they’ve found the right encounter when they see two men fighting. One has a full armor set, while the other looks more like a peasant. Both men shout to Henry to join them or say that everything is fine since they know their fight looks intense. At this point, if Henry speaks to the knight, the player will have a few options on how to shape the conversation and then determine whether to challenge Sir Kunesh of Bellowitz to a duel.

What Happens If You Challenge Sir Kunesh of Bellowitz To A Duel

Fighting Sir Kunesh Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

After Henry speaks to Sir Kunesh, players will notice two choices that determine how much reputation they lose with Kunesh. Through the conversation, players learn that Kunesh once sided with Jobst against King Sigismund. The choice went poorly for him since Jobst lost the fight. He was taken prisoner and held in a tower for a few years.once sided with Jobst against King Sigismund

It wasn’t a pleasant experience for him, but Sir Kunesh still has a practical mind regarding war. He realized he should have sided with King Sigismund because he was the best king. As players should know, Henry supports King Wenceslas. So, some of the things that Sir Kunesh says go against his beliefs.

For example, Sir Kunesh claims that King Wenceslas is a poor king because all he does is party all the time, while his people starve and suffer. He believes that wouldn’t happen under King Sigismund’s rule since Sigismund is more hands-on. At the very least, he isn’t out there spending all his time drinking and having a good time.

Depending on what Henry says in response, it’s possible to lose two rounds of reputation. The first time players can lose reputation is when they say, “Sigismund is Plundering the Kingdom.” Sir Kunesh doesn’t like the fact that plundering is happening, but he’s also aware that’s what happens in war. Since Henry spoke out against Sigismund, Kunesh loses respect for him.

The next time players lose reputation is when Kunesh realizes that Henry supports Wenceslas. This is an automatic loss of reputation, and there is no way to try to stop it from happening. Once Kunesh voices his opinion, players can challenge him to a duel or walk away.

If players challenge Kunesh to a duel, he’ll state that he isn’t too happy about it but will teach a puppy a lesson. Kunesh isn’t the easiest knight to defeat, and what happens at the end of the fight depends on whether Henry wins the duel.

Players should consider learning the Master Strike move from Tomcat before fighting Sir Kunesh.

The good news is that Kunesh is an honorable knight, so he won’t kill Henry. Once Henry loses enough health, Kunesh will stop the duel. The two outcomes of this duel are:

  • Win the Duel: Sir Kunesh yields and gives Henry 60 Groschen
  • Lose the Duel: Henry yields and doesn’t win any Groschen

Either way, Henry will comment that he won’t forget what an honorable knight Sir Kunesh is. The knight will then depart shortly after with his hired hand.

What Happens if You Walk Away From Sir Kunesh of Bellowitz

Not fighting Kunesh in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Now, if players don’t mind losing out on a bit of Groschen, then they can always choose to walk away from Sir Kunesh of Bellowitz. Like in any other encounter in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry’s choices are important. Choosing to duel Kunesh means Henry’s engagement becomes more violent. If players want a high honor playthrough, they should consider walking away from Kunesh, even if their opinions aren’t the same.

Players can walk away from the conversation whenever they want during the dialogue. The last opportunity to do so is when they reach the dialogue branch to either duel him or walk away. Simply press the “Walk Away” option. Henry will politely leave, and Sir Kunesh will wish him well.

Players won’t earn 60 Groschen by defeating him in the duel. Sir Kunesh and his hired hand will eventually leave the area.

Dueling Sir Kunesh of Bellowitz in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can earn players a decent sum of Groschen, but it also means they’ll need to survive the duel. At the very least, players should talk with Kunesh to get a different perspective on the war.
