How to Get and Use Photon Imprinter in The First Descendant

How to Get and Use Photon Imprinter in The First Descendant

The First Descendant constantly releases new Ultimate Descendants, which are stronger than their base versions and have access to exclusive Transcendent Modules. If you have already spent a lot of time and resources on maxing out the base Descendant, unlocking its Ultimate version and starting over may sound daunting. Luckily, The First Descendant allows you to transfer the Module settings using the Photon Imprinter, ensuring that none of your time goes wasted.

Photon Imprinters are a scarce consumable in The First Descendant, and unlike most materials in the game, they don’t have a consistent source. Here’s a rundown on what players need to know about the Photon Imprinter, including how to get it and what to use it for.

The First Descendants has standard and ultimate characters. Here’s a breakdown of the two.

The only way to get a Photon Imprinter in The First Descendant is through limited-time events. There are multiple events happening in the game at any given time, and some of them may include a Photon Imprinter as a reward.

To check the list of ongoing events, open the escape menu and select the Events tab on the right. The events range from log-in events that award endgame materials, including Crystallization Catalysts and Void Abyss Metal Fragments, to events with daily missions that grant currency to exchange at an event shop. Occasionally, the game also hosts events on its website.

If the event has a shop, most of the time, it’s at Anais in Albion, where you can research and craft new items.

The Photon Imprinter allows you to transfer assigned Module socket types and Energy Activators from the base Descendant to its Ultimate version. Head to the Prime Hands in Albion and select Implant Module Settings. There, you can select any Descendant that you unlocked an Ultimate version of and transfer the settings.

Before confirming, you can preview the final Module capacity and the socket type loadout of the Ultimate Descendant. If the Ultimate Descendant already has an Energy Activator or has the same socket type assigned to the same slot, you’ll get the Energy Activator and respective Crystallization Catalysts back.

Considering that Photon Imprinters are scarce at the moment, you should aim to use them wisely. Only transfer the Module settings if you have already invested a lot of Crystallization Catalysts in the base version and plan to commit to playing on the Ultimate version.
