Fortnite Has Made a Major Change to Pickaxes and Wraps

Fortnite made a substantial change to pickaxes and wraps, as players can now preview both cosmetics on their characters within both the locker and Item Shop. Epic Games has also caught the attention of players by teasing an upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and the hit television series Adventure Time.

The popular battle royale’s most recent update also brought Sabrina Carpenter to Fortnite as part of Fortnite Festival’s latest season. Fans can now acquire a wide variety of cosmetics featuring the artist, including skins, pickaxes, and back blings. Epic Games has also added numerous emotes and jam tracks to the game, showcasing her hit songs. Gamers can pick these up in the Festival Pass and the Item Shop. Prior to her debut, there was a lot of speculation about who would be the next Fortnite Festival artist, as the character Big Dill is currently in a rap beef with T-Pain, and rumors have been swirling about Daft Punk making an appearance in the game.

Previously, when trying to match wraps or pickaxes with one’s outfits, a player would need to jump into a match or creative mode to see what the combination looked like. This could lead to a lot of frustration, as some people would continually jump in and out of matches to find the perfect accessories that match their outfit. After all, there’s a large portion of the community that focuses on fashion within Fortnite.

While players have been able to preview what Fortnite‘s kicks and back blings would look like on their characters for a very long time, this wasn’t an option for wraps and pickaxes. Now, that has all changed, and many fans are ecstatic that Epic Games listened to its community. Some fans even said they would now be spending hours in their locker, putting together new combinations and making fresh loadouts.

Many fans have also been excited by the rumor that another wave of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cosmetics could be coming to Fortnite and Rocket League. It’s rumored that the collaboration could include skins of Krang, Casey Jones, Rocksteady, and Bebop. Leakers have also suggested that Epic Games might release the iconic van the Turtles are known for using. With so much content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
