There are many reasons to watch Yellowjackets. The grim exploration of the aftermath of trauma, the mysterious supernatural elements, the character driven dynamics in tense situations… but for almost everybody, the reason they watch Yellowjackets is the intensely likeable and highly photogenic cast. That was the topic of the latest Yellowjackets promo video, and it has everyone talking about one moment in particular.

Throughout the season, different Yellowjackets junkets have been popping up with the cast playing various games or completing different challenges together. The latest one is Compliment Battle, where the cast read out complimentary (or, usually, thirsty) tweets and comments fans left for their castmates. Featuring Sophie Thatcher (Teen Nat), Sammi Hanratty (Teen Misty), Courtney Eaton (Teen Lottie), Sophie Nelisse (Teen Shauna), Liv Hewson (Teen Van), and Jasmin Savoy Brown (Teen Taissa), one comment about Eaton stood out.
“L*zzing Out Over Courtney Eaton RN”
Posted by Teen Vogue yesterday, the premise saw Nelisse and Eaton paired up to read each others’ compliments. The one causing a stir was from dana/@keephappinesss, which reads simply “l*zzing out over courtney eaton rn”. Eaton then suggested the whole cast get t-shirts that say ‘L*zzing Out’, which would no doubt be a hugely popular piece of merch for the vast majority of the fandom. Another message compared her to “Jacob Elordi for lesbians” which she seemed confused by, even if Jasmin Savoy Brown did not.
This was a recurring theme throughout the video. The word “mother” appeared several times in the compliments, while Brown had a fan ask to be stepped on and Thatcher was told she makes one viewer “vibrate with gayness”. Only one viewer who is brave enough to admit it, at least. But as iconic as those moments might be, they won’t make the t-shirt that someone, somewhere, will already be whipping up on Eaton’s behalf.
