Two teams were the favorites going into the tournament: Sentinels and 100 Thieves. These teams last faced off was during the Marvel Rivals Invitational North America. During this event, 100 Thieves won over Sentinels. Until this event, Sentinels had never won a Grand Finals against 100 Thieves.

It felt like faith that these two teams faced off against each other in the Upper Bracket Finals. The story was very different this time as Sentinels clean swept 100 Thieves with a scoreline of 3-0. In the Lower Bracket Finals, 100 Thieves defeated SHROUD-X 4-1 to claim their spot in the Grand Finals.

During the Grand Finals, the match was a one-sided domination. Sentinels didn’t allow 100 Thieves to win one map during the best of 7 series, winning the game with a scoreline of 4-0. The interesting part about this victory is that Sentinels fields a mixed gender roster. One of their most crucial players is Chassidy “Aramori” Kaye. She became the first female player to win an official Marvel Rivals tournament.

What went down in the rest of the tournaments?

In the Marvel Rivals Championship – Europe, Vitrus.pro became tournament champions. Thus, making them the back-to-back champions in official Marvel Rivals tournaments. During the Grand Finals, they faced off against Luminosity EU. Virtus.pro secured the win after an incredible 4-0 clean sweep, taking home the prize of $6,000.

In the Asia split of the tournament, the storyline was quite different. Kanga Esports, who were the champions of the Ocenia split of the Marvel Rivals Invitational, got eliminated in the Lower Bracket after a loss against Influenza G. Instead, the two teams everyone had their eyes on were Gen G Academy and New Mooñ.

These two teams first faced off in the Upper Bracket Final of the tournament. During this faceoff, Gen G Academy secured the series win with a score of 3-2 after New Mooñ was in the lead with a score of 2-1. Following their win in the Lower Bracket Finals, we saw a rematch between the two teams. This time, New Mooñ held onto their lead and secured the win with a score of 4-1.
