You may have thought Yasuo would be featured as the champion with the highest afk rate in LoL, but don’t worry; we haven’t forgotten about the man with the 0/10 power spike. The title actually goes to Zed, who has an AFK rate of 4.03%, more than any champion in the entire game.
Even if he may not be the strongest champion in the game, Zed’s unique kit and high skill expression are the reason why he is still amongst the most popular champions to feature in the mid lane. And for this reason, leads to why he has players that go AFK so much.
As Zed, you need to dominate the game early to be of any use later down the line. Although this can be said about most, if not all, champions in LoL, with Zed, it’s more apparent. If Zed gets behind, his damage feels like he is throwing paper at you.
2. Yasuo

Zed may have the highest AFK rate in League of Legends, but Yasuo definitely holds the title for the most toxic fan base. If there is a Yasuo on your team, you have the right to be worried. They aren’t the happiest bunch, and when things go wrong, they are quick to blame the team.
According to LeagueOfGraphs, Yasuo has an AFK rate of 3.99%. A lot of Yasuo players do not fully grasp how strong the champion is, even if the game does not go well in the early game. When they player is bad, it seems that everyone is a Yasuo counter. Usually, Yas spikes around the first couple of items, the problem is that many of the Yasuo players tend to hit the quit button before even getting to that stage.
3. Gragas

Gragas is the surprise entrant on this list as he does have a rather low popularity rate at the moment. Nevertheless, Gragas does feature on this list as the champion with the third-highest afk rate in the game at 3.97%. Gragas does possess a lot of skill expression, with his Q and ultimate being skillshots that you need to hit in order to be useful.
Therefore, if you’re a player who isn’t hitting those skill shots, you’re bound to AFK at some point. Skill-expressive champions do attract the wrong crowd, especially the players who think they are better than everyone, even in the lower ranks.
