Shattered Veil continues the Black Ops 6 Zombies trend with lengthy and fun side easter eggs in the maps, and while it may not be The Tomb’s golden armor, it’s still… interesting, to say the least. While players do not need to complete this easter egg for anything major, it’s still fun to experience all the side easter eggs in Shattered Veil at least once.

Black Ops 6: All Zombie Intel Locations in Shattered Veil
Shattered Veil has a total of 24 pieces of Zombie Intel to collect, from Audio Logs, to Documents, and Artifacts – here’s how to get all of them.
For those venturing deep into Shattered Veil to uncover all the mysteries involved, this Black Ops 6 easter egg might be one to try, especially for those who reminisce on the good old days of convoluted easter eggs, which may just be a Jason Blundell reference, so here’s a step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Acquire the Vermin Statue and Place it in the Mainframe Chamber
The first step for this easter egg involves players opening up the Mainframe Chamber, where Pack-a-Punch is located. Once that’s been done, head through the Mainframe Chamber into the Service Tunnel, and exit left into the Supply Depot. Once players are inside the Supply Depot, turn around to face the north wall, where underneath the third grate will be a small vermin that players can interact with to pick up.
With the vermin acquired, head back to the Mainframe Chamber where, opposite the capsule that holds an Empty Canister (on the left of S.A.M.), there will be a metal dish tray that players can interact with to place the vermin. With the vermin in the tray, use any gun to shoot the test tubes and bottles on the same trolley as the tray:
- The small far-right bottle (blue smoke)
- The far left collection of test tubes (red smoke)
- The bottle in the middle of both (green smoke)
Step 2: Place the Vermin in a Microwave in the Overlook
If done correctly, players will see that the vermin in the metal tray is glowing with a gas substance, and now they can interact with it to pick it up. With the vermin back in your inventory, head upstairs into the Overlook area of the Grand Foyer, where players can interact with any of the three microwaves found in this area:
- West wall of the Overlook, on a table with coffee mugs
- South east wall in the West Hallways, to the left of the wooden crate
- South wall in the West Hallways, to the right of the green desk
Interact with one of the microwaves, which will then show the vermin placed inside. Once inside, smoke will begin to form in the microwave, and players need to pay attention as they must interact with the microwave once red smoke begins to form.
Step 3: Acquire the Wunderwaffe DG-2 and Place the Vermin in Blood
The next step is going to be perhaps the hardest, as players will need the Wunderwaffe DG-2. Considering it’s not craftable, it can be a bit of a pain to get this weapon, as players will have to rely on luck by hitting the Mystery Box for 950 essence in the hopes that they get the Wunderwaffe DG-2. However, there is a side easter egg that involves getting a free and guaranteed Wunderwaffe DG-2:

The Wunderwaffe DG-2 is a classic Wonder Weapon that returns for Black Ops 6 in Shattered Veil, but how does one get their hands on this zappy gun?
With the Wunderwaffe DG-2 acquired, head back to the Mainframe Chamber, where on the right staircase leading to Pack-a-Punch, players can find a pool of blood on the floor. Interact with the blood to place the vermin, and then use the Wunderwaffe DG-2 to shoot the giant metal fan when facing north from the pool of blood.
Step 4: Use a Chopper Gunner to Shoot the Red Smoke Chimneys
Now, players need a Chopper Gunner scorestreak, which can be acquired from any Crafting Table for 2,500 Salvage once players reach Level 45. Alternatively, players will need to try and get lucky by killing Elder Disciples in the hopes they drop one.
With a Chopper Gunner acquired, activate it in the Motor Court and shoot all of the chimneys around the mansion, which will be emitting a red smoke. Once all chimneys have been destroyed, and in the next round, the map will be shrouded in fog, and Dark Aether crystals will infect the map, allowing players to collect free Salvage and equipment.
The fog change is not permanent, and will end after a few minutes, along with the Dark Aether crystals.
