Twitch streamer Valkyrae was apparently cut from A Minecraft Movie, which recently premiered in theaters. Fans of streamer Valkyrae were quick to notice her absence in A Minecraft Movie, and now the streamer has shared a comment on the matter.
A Minecraft Movie launched on April 4, finally hitting theaters after the project initially got its start way back in 2014. The film had a lot of changes in that time, and only got principal photography going in 2024. While critics, on average, have had divisive opinions on A Minecraft Movie, many fans seem to be enjoying it thus far.

Critics be dammed, the Minecraft fandom has turned out in droves for A Minecraft Movie, and records are going to be broken.
However, some fans have been disappointed to discover that the expected cameo of Valkyrae has been cut from A Minecraft Movie. A number of Minecraft content creators and streamers appeared in A Minecraft Movie, including DanTDM, Aphmau, Mumbo Jumbo, and LDShadowLady. However, outside a brief moment where she’s visible in a background shot, Valkyrae is nowhere to be found in A Minecraft Movie. On April 6, Valkyrae acknowledged the omission, noting that she wouldn’t say a lot about it, but that if she had been in the film, it would have been for less than a minute, “as much as you guys saw the other creators.” However, the most curious comment was when she noted “I would rather not have 30 seconds than be sued.” The comment wasn’t very explanatory, but has certainly led to speculation and curiosity.
Why Valkyrae May Have Been Cut From A Minecraft Movie
Valkyrae didn’t give any further details on the matter, so fans have been largely left to consider the possibilities themselves. However, it’s possible that prior comments made by the streamer may have gotten her in hot water with the film. Previously, in September 2024, Valkyrae made some comments about her experience on-set, claiming that Jason Momoa was abusive towards crew members. She didn’t say much, but called the set “not a good work environment” and said “I would not be happy working under these conditions.”
It’s been theorized that Valkyrae may have violated the terms of a non-disclosure agreement she likely signed as part of her contract while preparing for the filming of the movie. If that’s the case, rather than pursuing legal action, the film may have chosen to cut her from the project. However, it’s unlikely that fans will learn more from Valkyrae, especially if saying too much about the movie in advance of its release was why she got cut in the first place. While the exact answer may remain a mystery, fans of the streamer can find Valkyrae in other movies and media, including Sonic Prime, in which she voiced a character.
