Following in the footsteps of Sonic the Hedgehog and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, The Legend of Zelda franchise is set to make its debut on the big screen as early as March 2027. The project has been announced as in-development, with Wes Ball, director of the Maze Runner franchise and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, attached to direct.

The movie will also have Derek Connolly, known for his work on the Jurassic World franchise, attached as a writer, with game series creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad attached as producers. There are no official cast announcements yet, but with a release date of March 2027 announced, expect news on the latest video game movie adaptation to begin trickling out soon.

With the cast and director providing an insane level of star power and early Oscar buzz, fans of the Fab Four are in for a treat with four movies in April 2028.
