Anime hair comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. From simple black hair to tall and extravagant styles in a variety of colors, you can find pretty much anything. One common hair color that you will see is pink, which pops up in quite a few of the more popular shows airing.

This list is presented in no particular order.
9
Anya Forger
Spy X Family
First up, we have Anya. Even if you don’t watch Spy X Family, you probably know Anya. This telepathic toddler has captured the hearts of the audience, us included! While the world of Spy X Family goes beyond just the escapades of a child, we get to see plenty of her.
Anya deals with quite a lot on her own though; she knows that Yor is an assassin and that Loid is a spy, but these two aren’t aware of each other. Of course, they also don’t know that Anya can read their minds, which makes for some great situations.
8
Yuji Itadori
Jujutsu Kaisen
While his hair is a bit on the dustier side, Yuji Itadori is still counted as one of the best pink-haired anime characters out there. As the main character of Jujutsu Kaisen (which is one of the most popular animes out there), Yuji is found in all corners of the anime community.
To get a grasp of the influence of this show, look at the song Otaku Hot Girl by Meg Thee Stallion; the intro samples Yuji’s voice! Overall, Yuji Itadori has an infectious personality, making it hard not to love his kindness and naivete.
7
Yuno Gasai
Future Diary
If you were watching anime in the early 2010s, then you’ve seen this Yandere icon. Yuno Gasai is one of the main characters in Future Diary, which involves a group of characters receiving the tititular future diary in order to ‘win’ against the others and become the heir to the universe. This may sound like a lot to take in, and it is.

These anime characters are adorable clueless when it comes to love.
Along the way, you’ll witness Yuno Gasai do anything to protect Yuki, even if it means going on a love-fueled rampage. Overall, Yuno is an exemplary Yandere character, willing to kill for Yuki, even if it terrifies him.
6
Madoka Kaname
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Madoka Kaname is another character from an absolutely iconic show. At first glance, Puella Magi Madoka Magica (or just ‘Madoka Magica’) may look like a typical magical girl show, but it’s so much more. Sure, the show involves five magical girls facing witches, but the show really breaks away from the tropes of the genre.
When I first watched Madoka Magica, I was blown away! During a trip to Japan, I even bought a figure of Homura clutching Kyubey.
Early into the show, Madoka is presented with a contract to obtain some magical powers to fight witches in exchange for having any wish granted. Things aren’t this simple though, as another magical girl (Homura Akemi) tries to convince Madoka to not accept. This series has several associated movies as well, which are definitely worth the watch.
5
Chika Fujiwara
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
Chika is another absolutely adorable character. While she isn’t quite the main character of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, the show just wouldn’t be the same without her. If you’ve never seen this anime, then it essentially follows the psychological battles of Kaguya and Shirogane. Chika is unaware of this though; she just remains cheerful and bubbly.
Overall, Chika is a bundle of joy, not really giving off the vibe of a daughter from a family of politicians. In Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, you can witness her love of puzzles and games, as well as her precarious placed bow (how exactly does it stay in place?).
4
Saiki Kusuo
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Saiki Kusou is the tititular character of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., and has some of the brightest hair on our list. Like Anya, Saiki is another pink-haired character with psychic powers; rather than just one though, he has several.
What’s so disastrous about this? Saiki wants to remain in the shadows and not draw too much attention to himself (as if the bright pink hair helps with this), but his powers throw him into a variety of encounters with some pretty strange people.
3
Sakura Haruno
Naruto
Sakura Haruno might be a controversial addition to this list, as some may thing that she is a bit useless compared to Naruto and Sasuke. While it’s true that she starts off with considerably less strange, Sakura has absolutely amazing character development.

2
Lucy
Elfen Lied
Elfen Lied is an older anime (first airing in 2004) that is absolutely fascinating. The story follows Lucy, who is a different breed of human called a Diclonious. Oh, she also has telekinetic abilities, which fits in among the other characters on our list.
Very early on in the show, Lucy breaks out and ultimately develops a split personality due to a head injury. Hurt and alone, Lucy is taken in by two people who extend their kindness out to her. Before diving into this show, it’s important to mention that it involves nudity and gore, which may not be suitable for everyone.
1
Yuki Itose
A Sign Of Affection
Last but not least, we have Yuki Itose from A Sign Of Affection. This is the second Yuki on our list, with the first being Yuno Gasai’s love interest. You won’t find any Yandere tropes here though; this Yuki is a deaf college student who is falling in love for the first time in her life.
I watched A Sign Of Affection as it aired and was absolutely enamored by it! Every episode will leave you with a smile on your face.
A Sign Of Affection is a beautiful anime, showing the world from the perspective of a deaf girl living in a big city. Though she narrates the show, she remains silent as the world unfolds. Of course, she can read lips and communicate in sign language. Overall, A Sign Of Affection is great deaf representation, which isn’t too common in anime (of course, we aren’t forgetting A Silent Voice).
