A Pokemon fan has shared their concept and art of what a Ghost-type Eeveelution could look like. The unique Pokemon fanart concept is based upon iconic genie designs, which has also lent some interesting abilities and characteristics to the Eeveelution.

While Ditto is likely the Pokemon best known for its ability to morph into just about anything, Eevee has been delighting fans with its array of evolutionary transformations for generations. Sadly, in recent years, Eevee hasn’t received any new evolutions, leaving fans to come up with ideas in the meantime. No one knows if Pokemon will ever return to giving Eevee a new evolution in every generation of games, but fan designs help to keep players interested in the unique creature.

Now, Pokemon fan 67chrome has shared their concept and design for a new Eeveelution. They’ve dubbed their Ghost-type Eeveelution Mischeveon, saying that they wanted to come up with a Ghost-type evolution for Eevee that “didn’t involve being a meanie-head to Eevee to get it to evolve.” This refers to other Eevee Ghost-type evolution concepts that have sometimes required Eevee to die in order to become a Ghost-type. In this instance, Eevee would be able to evolve after being healed by Wish three times. 67chrome’s Mischeveon would have mirage powers, which would include an incredible ability to temporarily transform its opponent into another form of any Pokemon. The OP notes that it would have a 1/3 chance of the Pokemon the opponent was transformed into being a base-stage, but in a potentially punishing twist, there would also be a 1/8 chance of the Pokemon being turned into a Legendary or Mythical Pokemon.

Eevee Fans Share Thoughts on Mischeveon

Numerous Pokemon fans have shared praise for the OP, while others have made suggestions. Some have noted that Mischeveon’s origin story might work better for a Fairy-type Eeveelution, while others have suggested making it a Flying-type like the other djinn-inspired Pokemon in the game, like Tornadus. Another fan shared praise for both Mischeveon and Champeon, a Fighting-type Eeveelution that the artist previously designed and shared with the community.

While fanart evolutions and new Pokemon are typically received well by the community, some players are anxious when they see interesting new fan-made Eeveelutions. Pokemon previously scrapped an Eeveelution due to it being too similar to a fan’s design, so players are worried that the abundance of Eeveelution fanart could cause the games to not see a new form again. Others have theorized that a new Eeveelution might only arrive in the game alongside the reveal of a new Pokemon typing, as this would be less likely to be inadvertently predicted by a fan’s imagination. Time will tell if Eevee ever gets to make a comeback with a new evolution.
