Recently, we have seen games available on PC to have a console variant released as well. A significant example of this has been VALORANT. Since its console launch in 2024, the game has captured a new market of gamers. Following its release, the game has made sure that there are multiple updates to ensure both the PC and console versions are the same.
A Playstation Cup is a tournament hosted for players of various games. These games include the likes of TEKKEN 8, EA SPORTS FC 25, Fortnite, and ASTRO BOT. These tournaments provide fans XP points and various other prizes based on their performance.
For many, this is their first step into esports for a console game. With Marvel Rivals already hosting esports tournaments for console players like the ongoing Marvel Rivals Championship Season 1.
According to the report by user X0X LEAK on X, there will be PlayStation Cup tournaments held for Marvel Rivals from April until December.
Currently, the format of these tournaments is unknown, but only fans with a PS Plus account and a PS5 can participate.
Marvel Rivals was announced to be present on the PlayStation 5 back on Dec. 6, 2024. In a blog post released on the PlayStation website, the game’s features on the PS5 were revealed. While the game could run at a stable 60 FPS at 1440p, with the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, the game could perform smoothly at a stable 60 FPS at a 4K resolution.
Recently, Marvel Rivals announced the launch of Emma Frost and Ultron in the upcoming Season 2 update.
