How to Heal in South of Midnight
Combat can be unforgiving in South of Midnight, and some trickier platforming sequences can also get the player’s health close to zero. This is why it’s so important to understand the healing mechanics in the game.
To heal in South of Midnight, players must either use a Health Coil or Unravel an enemy. In most fights, there will only be one Health Coil available, and it can only be used once unless gamers are playing South of Midnight at a lower difficulty – in this case, it will regenerate. Alternatively, players can Unravel a fallen enemy to gain back some health. This does not give them as much health as the Coil, but it will disappear unless used right away, so it’s best to take advantage of it.
Since there aren’t any healing items in South of Midnight or ways to heal outside of combat, gamers should try their best to collect all Heart Filaments; this will increase their maximum health and they won’t have to worry aboiut falling as often as they used to.
