Episode Heresy introduced multiple new weapons to Destiny 2, which quickly became the best-in-slot for their respective archetypes and elements. For bow users, there’s the Anamnesis Lightweight Frame Void bow that can dominate PvE with endless Void synergy.
This guide covers the definitive Anamnesis god rolls for both PvE and PvP in Destiny 2, alongside a couple of alternative perks, depending on your build and playstyle.

Combat bows in Destiny 2 can feel situational, but these powerful bows are weapons every guardian should have in their vault.
Destiny 2: Anamnesis PvE God Roll
Anamnesis is the best Legendary Void bow for PvE, especially if you don’t have the Fortunate Star from the Solstice event. It’s also a perfect choice if you don’t want to use Le Monarque to save an Exotic slot or simply need more from the primary weapon.
Here’s the Anamnesis PvE god roll:

Dragonfly / Repulsor Brace |
Destabilizing Rounds |
Draw Time |
Anamnesis features a classic Void perk combination of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds. Destabilizing Rounds makes nearby enemies Volatile when defeating a target and grants your Void weapons Volatile Rounds. Repulsor Brace grants an Overshield when defeating a Void-debuffed target, perfectly synergizing with Destabilizing Rounds. With the latest Destabilizing Rounds buffs that reduced its internal cooldown, it’s a perfect combination for add-clear and survivability.
If you already have a source of Volatile Rounds through the subclass or Exotic armor (like Hunter’s Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk), consider getting Demoralize in the fourth column. It works similarly to Destabilizing Rounds, but it applies Weaken instead of Volatile to enemies, making them more vulnerable to incoming damage. This allows you to double down on Void debuffs while constantly activating Repulsor Brace for Void Overshields.
However, Anamnesis also allows you to double down on damage perks, which isn’t common for a seasonal weapon. Dragonfly in the third column creates an elemental explosion that matches the weapon’s element (in this case, Void). Dragonfly paired with Destabilizing Rounds ensures the weapon always has AoE capabilities, but you can mix and match the perks, depending on what you prefer.
Destiny 2: Anamnesis PvP God Roll
Unless it’s Le Monarque, bows aren’t widely popular in Destiny 2‘s PvP. Anamnesis has a couple of decent perks for you to try out, but don’t expect to easily beat the enemy team armed with hand cannons and pulse rifles.

To the Pain / Archer’s Tempo |
Moving Target |
Accuracy |
For dueling, there’s To the Pain in the third column. It grants aim assist and handling when taking damage, maxing out at 20 aim assist with 10 stacks. Archer’s Tempo is another solid perk if you’re confident in your aim. Archer’s Tempo decreases draw time by 25% after every precision hit, allowing for a faster follow-up shot. In the fourth column, Moving Target grants 10 aim assist when aiming down sights.
You could also go for a kill-based roll, like Successful Warm-Up with Sword Logic. It’s a powerful combination that decreases draw time by 25% for 3 seconds and increases damage by 15% for 7.5 seconds, but it requires a kill to activate. This means you won’t have any perk benefits for the initial gunfight, putting you at a disadvantage.
How to Get Anamnesis in Destiny 2
Anamnesis drops from the Court of Blades activity during Episode Heresy in Destiny 2. It’s a boss rush mode in which you must defeat up to 13 bosses against the clock. The more bosses you defeat, the better the rewards, including a chance to get a shiny variant of the weapon that has an additional Origin Trait and double perks. Completing Court of Blades on Expert difficulty also has a chance of dropping an Adept variant of Anamnesis.
While playing Court of Blades, set up the Tome of Want to drop the Episodic bow. This allows you to get additional weapon drops by completing activities and defeating tough enemies.
The Heresy season pass has the god roll Anamnesis with Dragonfly and Destabilizing Rounds on rank 145, so if that’s the combination you’re going after, prioritize leveling up the season pass.
