It’s been this way for a while now, but players jumping into this latest Monster Hunter can choose a staggering amount of weapons. Players aren’t locked into any one weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds either as they can pick and choose between hunts or even switch during a mission via their mount’s side pouch.

Of the many in the game, many will flock toward the bow. It’s one of the easiest weapons to get used to in Monster Hunter Wilds with tons of upgrades to find along the way. Getting the best bows is only half the battle though as a good set of armor can help too and these are the best, ranked by their usefulness.

It’s a good armor set for players who like to play offline with Palicoes and Support Hunters by their side and Blangonga’s Spirit and Palico Rally are two skills that can help keep the party happy. Item Prolonger is also a good skill that can make items last longer like Armorskin which will increase defense and the Wide Range skill can even grant that boost to the party if they are close enough.

While difficult, the armor set is worth going down this icy rabbit hole for skills like Adaptability which almost negates the need to take items to prevent chills in the Iceshard Cliffs or overheating in the Oilwell Basin. Guardian Rathalos Beta Armor
Fight Guardian Rathalos For This Armor

The Guardian Rathalos Beta Armor set can be crafted from a Guardian Rathalos, also residing within the Ruins of Wyveria and the weaker of the Rathalos types in the game. That said, it has one heck of an armor set like the inclusion of Weakness Exploit, which again, can make life a lot easier during monster battles. If players are facing a monster that is weak to fire, like Jin Dahaad, then Guardian’s Pulse is a skill that can increase fire-based damage if players are using a fire-based weapon. A good example is the Quematrice Arco line of Bows, which are made from the Quematrice.

Hirabami Alpha Armor
Fight Hirabami For This Armor
- Evade Extender: Increases Dodging Distance
- Evade Window: Longer Invulnerability After A Successful Dodge
- Ice Resistance: Ice Defense Boost

Last, but not least, the Hirabami Alpha Armor set can be formed by killing Hirabami, flying snake-like creatures residing in the Iceshard Cliffs. The goal of a Bower user is to stay back and support the party, thus health should stay maxed out if things are going well. If this holds, Peak Performance is a good skill that will increase attack power if health indeed remains full. This armor set also has Scaling Prowess, Evade Extender, Evade Window, and even a little resistance to the ice-based damage via Ice Resistance.
