Mob Psycho 100

The story follows teenager Shigeo Kageyama as he fights to keep control of his psychic powers, with plenty of danger lurking around every corner if he fails to tamper his emotions.
For help in dealing with his feelings in a way that allows him to potentially get close to his crush Takane Tsubomi without risking the appearance of monsters, Mob Psycho 100 follows Shigeo as he takes up an apprenticeship and tries his best to control his emotions.

Parasyte: The Maxim
JJK sees Yuji Itadori contend with the demon Sukuna when he eats Sukuna’s fingers, and Parasyte follows Shinichi Izumi as he deals with an alien that takes over his right hand after failing to take over his brain – what’s the deal with hands and anime lately?
In Parasyte: The Maxim (the single-word title refers to the manga while “The Maxim” denotes the anime), Shinichi and the monster in his hand that he names Migi work together to fend off other aliens who seek to take over the world by infecting human hosts. If the body horror and moral dilemma of JJK struck your fancy, this short series might be for you.

Blue Exorcist
We all have some pretty big upsets as teenagers, but imagine learning that you and your twin brother were literally fathered by Satan himself. Rin Okumura, the protagonist of Blue Exorcist, watches his human father figure die and, in an attempt to fight back himself, unleashes the full extent of his powers by pulling a demon-slaying sword.
To try and harness his powers, Rin begins attending school at True Cross Academy to learn how to become an exorcist. The news of these powers, though, is only news to him – his twin brother Yukio is already such an accomplished exorcist that he’s one of Rin’s teachers.
6
Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo is packed in real life, and we see the devastation that occurs throughout Shibuya in Jujutsu Kaisen, but what if you were knowingly sharing the world with ghouls? Humans aren’t too cool sharing the world with the ghouls that need to eat them to survive, though, and since ghouls disguise themselves as humans, tensions can run high.
Ken Kaneki is attacked by a ghoul who pretended to be a girl interested in going on a date with him, but he’s turned into a half-ghoul to save his life after the encounter. As a half-ghoul, Ken struggles to find his place in both human and ghoul society, with a secret hunger that can get him killed if the wrong people learn his secret.
5
Soul Eater
If you’re a fan of the concept of a human weapon being overseen by a team of powerful leaders like the dynamic between Yuji and his classmates, Soul Eater might be the show for you. You’ll follow three teams of students, each with one meister and one human that can transform into a weapon, as they try to create a scythe for use by their death-incarnate headmaster.
To do this, the team must use their combination of meisters and human weapons to kill 99 evil humans, and then one singular witch. You’ll watch the teams at Death Weapon Meister Academy learn to work together throughout this 51-episode anime.

Yu Yu Hakusho
One of the most beloved anime from the 1990s, Yu Yu Hakusho starts with its protagonist Yusuke Urameshi being killed. This rough-and-tumble street kid is hit by a car when saving the life of a young boy who’s standing in the road, but he’s revived as a Spirit Detective after a number of tests to prove himself worthy of a second shot.

Bleach
High schooler Ichigo Kurasaki’s two sisters are about to be attacked by a Hollow, wandering souls that need to be reaped, when a Soul Reaper named Rukia appears to save them from harm at great personal cost. To repay the debt of her saving his siblings, Ichigo begrudgingly becomes a Soul Reaper himself to give Rukia time to recover from her fight with the Hollow.
Like plenty of other anime of this ilk, Ichigo meets a handful of classmates from school who also have some kind of powers like his own, setting off on a 366-episode quest in Bleach.
2
Chainsaw Man
Denji’s father has recently passed away at the beginning of Chainsaw Man, and he makes a deal with a devil who takes the shape of a hybrid between a dog and a chainsaw, Pochita. After a gruesome attack sees Denji left for dead, Pochita merges its soul with Denji and gives him the power to become the titular Chainsaw Man, a mutant with chainsaws for arms and a head.
Like plenty of anime where the protagonist gains a terrifying sudden new power, Denji joins up with a group of fellow Devil-fighters, the Public Safety Devil Hunters. Devils are formed from strong human emotion, like JJK’s curses, and it’s Denji’s job to help snuff them out before they become a real problem.

To find Kibutsuji and extract revenge for his family’s slaughter, Tanjiro becomes a Demon Slayer and teams up with Zenitsu, a girl-crazy scaredy cat, and Inosuke, a strong fighter with a boar mask. The pair fight through Kibutsuji’s all-powerful henchmen in an attempt to reach the demon king himself.
