With so many Dota 2 organizations out there, identifying the most successful ones is often easier said than done. People use different criteria to determine which teams stand out, and in this article, we will focus on prize money.
Everyone knows that Dota 2’s prize money is on a different level from most Esports. Even some of the smaller tournaments have impressive prize pools, and things like The International are in a league of their own. With that out of the way, let’s learn more about the most successful Dota 2 organizations and see where they’re at today.
Dota 2 Organizations With The Most Prize Money

OG – $37.3M
When it comes to Dota 2’s most successful organizations, most people will agree that OG is among the first names that come to mind. This is the only organization in Dota 2 that won The International two consecutive times. This happened in TI 2018 and TI 2019, a time when OG was ripping through its competitors.
So far, OG’s total prize pool earnings in Dota 2 are equal to around $37.3M. Most of that amount comes from the two TIs, but the club has won many other tournaments. Prior to the big roster changes several years ago, OG was dominating the DPC and won numerous Majors. So far, the organization accumulated $37.3M from 103 tournaments.
Despite being among the most successful Dota 2 organizations, OG’s current state is not good. The team barely makes it to any of the big tournaments, and when it does, the roster doesn’t live up to the expectations.

Team Liquid – $31.4M
The second-most successful Dota 2 organization in terms of prize money is also from Europe. All Dota 2 fans know that Team Liquid is one of the biggest names in this Esport and has a rich history. Despite having many different rosters over the years, Team Liquid has always been one of the best, which explains why the organization’s total winnings are close to $31.4M from 139 competitions.
Like OG, Team Liquid is also a TI champion. In fact, the club also has two TI trophies. The first one was in 2017, whereas the latest one was in 2024. Although the organization had different rosters in both events.
Alongside The International victories, Team Liquid has been one of the most dominant clubs in professional Dota 2. The squad is always among the favorites and lives up to people’s expectations. If you’re dabbling in Dota 2 betting, then Team Liquid is always a safe choice.

Team Spirit – $28.8M
If you have been following Dota 2 for a while, you know that Team Spirit is among the newer organizations on the list. Although it may not have the experience of names like Team Liquid, Spirit quickly became among the most successful Dota 2 organizations. So far, the Eastern European powerhouse has accumulated close to $28.8M in Dota 2 prize money from 89 tournaments.
Spirit became very successful financially in 2021 because of The International. This was the Dota 2 tournament with the highest prize pool yet ($40M), and Spirit won it. The Eastern European powerhouse has some of the best Dota 2 players in the world, and it won TI again in 2023.
Similar to Team Liquid, Team Spirit has one of the most stable rosters in Dota 2. The squad is almost always among the favorites to make it into the top 4.

Evil Geniuses – $22.1M
When discussing the most successful Dota 2 organizations, Evil Geniuses will be among the names that come to mind. With its $22.1M overall earnings, it is the most respected name in the North American Esports scene. Sadly, the organization has not been a part of professional Dota 2 in some time now.
When EG had a Dota 2 roster, the team was usually doing well. There were times when the NA organization was above the rest, such as during TI 5, when SumaiL and co. lifted the trophy. Sadly, EG lacked good results in the last 5 years and eventually decided to disband its Dota 2 team.
Nowadays, the North American Dota 2 region is in a really bad place, and fans do not expect to see EG in Dota 2 anytime soon. We hope that things will change and the organization will decide to give the game another chance.

Team Secret – $18.8M
The last of the most successful Dota 2 teams in terms of money that we want to talk about is Team Secret. Many fans will put Secret on the same level as Team Liquid, which is not surprising, considering the organization’s experience. So far, TS has won $18.8M from 103 tournaments.
Team Secret is the only organization on this list that has never won The International. Despite being the favorite in several tournaments, Puppey’s squad could never lift the Aegis. The closest it got was in 2022, but the team couldn’t bring down the mighty Tundra Esports.
Despite not winning TI, the Dota 2 prize pool history shows that Secret has had great success. The organization has always been one of the hidden favorites in most events.
