It is also here that Oda will show Luffy and the other Straw Hats reach their goals, which means that the story will definitely see the crew accomplish everything together, and at the end of it all, claim the One Piece and make history.

Before the Straw Hat Pirates make history, however, they have to acquire their last member. Although the crew is already quite big and powerful, they’re not complete just yet. There is one more character who Luffy must take on his journey with him, and Oda might just have revealed a big hint about the identity of the last member.

The very first thing that needs to be addressed before the identity of the last member of the Straw Hat Pirates is brought up is the need for the last crew members. Often, fans refuse to accept that there will be more pirates who will join the crew since Luffy is already a Yonko and doesn’t technically need anything on his ship anymore. But, while that idea is true, Oda himself has set up Luffy to gain one more family member. Before Luffy set out on his journey, he explicitly states that he wants a crew of 10. So far, Luffy only has 9. Oda has also commented on Luffy having a crew of 10 in the past, which only means that he’ll gain one more underling.

If that isn’t enough, then fans simply have to look at the crews of the other Yonko. Shanks has a crew of 9 main officers under him, which are Ben Beckman, Lucky Roux, Yasopp, Bonk Punch Lime Juice, Building Snake, Howling Gab, Monster, and Hongo. But, there is also Rockstar, who could very well be the 10th.
Looking at the Blackbeard Pirates, fans know that he already has 10 Ship Captain under him, and Luffy is currently one short if he is to take him down.
Oda Hints At Loki Being The Last Straw Hat In One Piece
One Piece’s Elbaf arc has slowly been hinting at the building relationship best Luffy and Loki, and it appears that the identity of the last Straw Hat might very well be none other than Loki. Loki is the Accursed Prince of Elbaf, but it is clear that most of his crimes are not well understood by the Giants themselves and he’s painted in a bad light. More recently, in One Piece chapter 1145, Oda dropped yet another hint that Loki will join the crew.

How Loki Got Rejected By Rocks D. Xebec
In the small Loki flashback that fans got in One Piece chapter 1145, it was made clear to the readers that Loki was rejected by Rocks D. Xebec long ago, when he wanted to join his crew as a kid. Rocks was Loki’s idol and although he never let him sail on his ship, Loki never lost respect for him. At the same time, Loki himself believes that he was born in the wrong era since he was too young to sail with Rocks.
The interesting part, however, is that Loki was born in the perfect era. The Harley clearly shows Loki fighting against Imu with Luffy, which means that Loki will come to respect Luffy as Nika as the Elbaf arc continues. The last man Loki respected rejected his offer to allow him to sail on his ship. The only man other than Rocks that Loki will respect will be Luffy, and this time, he won’t be rejected. Loki will set out to sea one way or another, and it is highly likely that it will be with the Straw Hat Pirates.
One Piece chapter 1146 will be out very soon, later this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on the upcoming Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on April 20.
