The video shows the player using controlled silverfish detonation, where the tiny creatures damage other silverfish, causing the burrowed ones to unburrow and break the blocks they were inside. To make this work, poison potions continuously damage them while regeneration potions keep them alive so they can continue burrowing and reemerging. However, some commenters mentioned that this technique is only effective on stone and deepslate, but also noted that it’s a great way to expose a lot of other resources for mining.

In the game, silverfish are hostile mobs that resemble small, insect-like creatures. Silverfish are acquired differently from other mobs like cows; players must obtain a Silverfish Spawner found in strongholds, typically near the End portal.
