LoL Patch 25.08 – Aatrox is on the change list
With April Fools behind us, the LoL community is heading into the next two months with only a few expected announcements on their way. That said, LoL will keep on evolving like it has always done and despite the new patch being a few days out, Riot has been working on the upcoming update.
So far, we only have a leak from game designer Spideraxe, as Aatrox is getting a few buffs on his kit. His E is getting additional healing with 0.1% added per 100HP. While it may not seem like a substantial buff, for a champion that is all about sustain, this change could be much stronger than anticipated.
Riot will finally release the Victorious Twisted Fate skin, the ranked reward for the LoL community. The champion is currently not a priority pick, but we might see his play rate go up a little as players will be tempted to try him out. Additionally, players will also get three “Fate” skins in Malzahar, Taric, and Nasus, as well as the revamped Sahn-Uzal Mordekaiser skin, which was previously blocked from release following major backlash in the skin’s quality. Patch 25.08 Release Date
The official patch schedule for 2025 has been confirmed, and LoL Patch 25.08 will be released on Apr. 16, 2025.
How will the upcoming patch shake the meta?
Given that there are no major changes announced so far, it’s hard to predict how the meta will shift. Throughout the past few weeks, we’ve seen an increase in the priority of proactive champions that can take advantage of early skirmishes, as well as a shift in the top lane meta, favoring damage champions over tanks.
