Aging has been a constant problem in inZOI, with many players saying their Zois are aging too fast. Since inZOI age-locks certain careers or activities, this is a serious problem that players have had to deal with during the game’s initial early access launch. It’s created pacing problems and caused some players to miss out on opportunities with no way of going back.

Thankfully, that’s all changed since inZOI released a new setting that allows players to turn off aging. Now, with a simple switch, players can choose when they want their Zois to start aging. The process is also really easy, but it’s just as easy to miss due to all the other settings it’s with.
How To Stop Aging In InZOI
To stop aging in inZOI, players need to hit the pause button and bring up the Options menu. Next, players need to navigate to the “Simulation” tab on the left. The Simulation tab has a few settings related to how Zois perform and act in the world, as well as how long a day lasts.
Players need to look for a setting called “Aging (My Zois)” and switch from “Enable” to “Disable.” Once toggled, this will keep the player’s Zois from aging. That said, if players want their Zois to age again, then they’ll need to toggle it back on.
There may be a lot of other complex mechanics in inZOI like karma and cleanliness, but when it comes to aging, the devs behind inZOI have made controlling it so easy.
How To Stop Other Zois From Aging In InZOI
Zois belonging to players aren’t the only ones that players can stop from aging. InZOI also lets players turn off aging for all the other Zois in the world. To do so, players just need to get back into the Options menu again.
Head to “Simulation” once more. Below the option to stop or enable aging on a player’s Zois, another option stops aging on all Zois in the world. The feature is set to “Enabled” by default, meaning that the Zois in the world will age according to the current default aging pace within the game.
By switching it to “Disabled,” Zois in the world will also stop aging. This is useful if a player wants their Zoi to romance another Zoi, but they’re worried that the Zoi in the world will become too old for them to romance in time. Romance in inZOI tends to be pretty fast, but having a mismatch of Zois who can age and can’t age can create problems.
Keep in mind that enabling this feature means that players might experience either a population boom or a static population. With Zois in the world no longer passing away from old age, they might start having a lot of children. However, since those children can’t age, either, the world may end up having a static or even declining population as Zois pass away from other causes.
It’s a setting to use with caution, at the very least.

How To Slow Aging In InZOI
Now, some players may not want to stop aging entirely. Instead, they might want to just slow the process down, so they have a bit more time with their Zois at their current age. There’s a way to go about that, too.
Head back into the Options menu, then click the “Simulation” tab once more. Look for the “Length of Day” option. The default time it takes for a full day to pass in inZOI is 96 minutes. Players should switch the time to either four hours or 24 hours.
If players choose four hours, then that means it will take four real-life hours for a full day to pass in inZOI. If players choose 24 hours, then that means it will take 24 real-life hours for a full day to pass. By lengthening the day, players can spend more time with their Zois and have them do more things before they inevitably age up.
If players aren’t ready for their Zois to age up in inZOI, then turning that off is just a toggle away.
