How to Use the Reliquary Vault in Path of Exile 2

In Path of Exile 2, the Reliquary Vault is a lone structure players will encounter in the endgame Atlas as soon as they complete Act 6 of the campaign. Like the Burning Monolith and the Realmgate, the game doesn’t explain exactly what this structure does or how to use it, leaving many players confused about its purpose.

The in-game description only states: Ancient Treasures Await, without any further clarification. Here is how it works.

The Reliquary Vault is a special endgame map that players can access using a Reliquary Key. It can be found right next to the Realmgate and the Ziggurat Refuge, where you begin your journey at the endgame.

Similar to the Moment of Zen, there will not be any monsters in this map; only a single chest called the Twilight Order Chest, containing one random Foiled Unique item.

Foiled Unique items are Uniques with a special glowing design that separates them from regular Uniques of the same type. In terms of stats, they are not any better or any worse than regular Uniques.

Foiled Uniques are designed by holders of the ‘Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack,’ through the Twilight Order Reliquary Submission. In addition to the special visual effect on the Unique, it also contains flavor text from the supporter who designed the foil pattern.

Twilight Reliquary Keys come in two types: Regular Twilight Reliquary Keys and Pinnacle Boss Reliquary Keys.

  • Twilight Reliquary Keys: Can drop from any monsters in the game (global drops). The Reliquary Vault Chest opened through these keys will only contain global Uniques. Boss-exclusive uniques—like Temporalis—will never appear through these keys.
  • Pinnacle Reliquary Keys: Can only drop from Pinnacle Bosses (Xesht, King in the Mists, Arbiter of Ash, etc.). Can contain boss-exclusive Foiled Uniques, but this is not guaranteed.

In addition to dropping in-game, players can also buy Reliquary Keys from the official PoE 2 trade site, though their prices are often overinflated thanks to items like Astramentis being in the pool. There is no way to target farm Reliquary Keys other than killing a large number of monsters, which is what a player would be doing anyway.
