The Shattered Veil takes players to one of the final chapters in the Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline, transporting them to a mansion north of Liberty Falls, where they finally meet S.A.M. face-to-face and embark on the next step of their quest to bring back Samantha Maxis from the Dark Aether. Featuring a challenging main quest, returning Wonder Weapons, and terrifying unique enemy types, The Shattered Veil may just be the most exciting map yet.
Of course, while players gear up and progress through the main quest, they can also complete side Easter Eggs, some of which offer serious rewards. The Jumpscare Easter Egg, for example, yields a free Perk reward. That’s not all, however, as players can also acquire a free Random Perk while progressing through the main quest itself. How To Get a Free Random Perk In The Shattered Veil
How To Open The Liminal Distillery
In order to get a free Random Perk in the Shattered Veil, players must progress through a portion of the main Easter Egg quest, notably to the part where they acquire the Ray Gun Mark II-W and open up the Liminal Distillery. Players can reach this point by doing the following:
- Acquire the Ray Gun Mark II through either the Mystery Box or the Armory.
- Upgrade the Ray Gun Mark II to the Ray Gun Mark II-W.
- Acquire the Sconce from the box in Banquet Hall near the GobbleGum Machine.
- Take the Sconce to the Grand Foyer and place it in the hole right by Juggernog.
- Complete the Simon Says minigame to open the Distillery.
- Interact with the painting inside, and kill zombies with the Ray Gun Mark II-W near it to unlock the portal to the Liminal Distillery.

Where To Find The Bell & How To Get a Free Perk
Once players have unlocked the Liminal Distillery, they must find a bell—just as they would for the main Easter Egg quest—within the Study. This bell can be found in any one of the glass cabinets in the Study, so be sure to break each one. Upon finding the bell, press the interact button to pick it up.
From here, players can progress through the Easter Egg as normal: apply Brain Rot to a gun of their choice, head over to the Overlook, place the bell onto the bar within the Overlook, and Brain Rot a zombie within the room before ringing the bell to receive the Metal Hip Flask.
Once that is done, players will need to interact with the bell they placed onto the bar a total of 115 times to spawn a free Random Perk power-up. Players will not need to keep count of how many times they ring the bell when performing this step, as the Random Perk power-up will spawn even if they press it more than 115 times, meaning that spamming the interact button is often the best approach to acquire it quickly.
