Here’s where to find Kuta’s mysterious thief in Xenoblade Chronicles X.
One great example of this comes from the normal mission Mayday, where a B.L.A.D.E. named May has been stranded out in the middle of Oblivia with a wrecked Skell, and needs your help to repair it so she can get home. This guide will detail where to find the Mayday mission, and where to find the materials to complete it.
Normal Mission – Mayday
To first accept the Mayday normal mission, head over to the Ruins on the Butte landmark in Oblivia, where you should see a mission icon alongside a B.L.A.D.E. member and a broken-down Skell.
The B.L.A.D.E. introduces herself as May, a member of the Curators division who chooses to do her work alone. While on a mission, her Skell broke down, leaving her stranded. For her to fix her Skell and return to New Los Angeles, she asks you to retrieve the following materials for her.
First on the list is four vials of Viscous Humour from Tectinsulas in Oblivia. This material can be dropped by any Tectinsulas on Mira.
The easiest place to find these enemies for this quest would be just across the river from where you accept this quest: you can find a few sleeping underground or walking around.
You can also buy this material from the material market for five material tickets each.
The other required item is two globs of Silvery Cactaceous Resin in Oblivia. While the game should automatically mark the possible locations of this collectible on the map, if you’re having trouble finding any, head to the river that leads from King’s Falls to Balance Rock.
Pick up as many item orbs as you can during the rain, as this increases the likelihood of this item spawning.
Once you’ve retrieved the specified amount of both required materials, deliver those materials to May to complete the quest. She gives you a Dobobora Broccoli as a reward.
However, upon completing this quest, May will simply stay put in her position, as another quest marker appears. This is the second mission in her short questline, titled Mayhem, where she asks you to collect more materials to help her out one more time.
