How to Break Up in InZOI
The personality features in InZOI are designed to mimic the dynamic fluidity of emotions and experiences as Zois age so they can have in-depth interactions with the world around them. Forming relationships is a significant part of the gameplay, including familial, platonic, and romantic connections. Zois can go on dates and enter relationships with other Zois and eventually get married once their relationship is close enough.
The highs of reality also come with the lows in InZOI, and some relationships aren’t meant to work out. If they are stuck in a vicious cycle or simply getting cold feet, players can have their Zois break up if they don’t want them to be together anymore.
If Zois are unmarried, breaking up is somewhat complicated since there is no specific social interaction to break up. Zois, with a high romance bar, will be considered Sweethearts or True Loves but aren’t necessarily exclusive. So, the most players can do is make them perform negative social interactions so they don’t like each other as much.
Zois will autonomously text each other based on the state of their relationship. They may even text about their relationship if things aren’t good.

- As one of the married Zois, click on the Zoi’s partner to pull up the social menu.
- Open the “Conflict” category.
- Select Divorce
Then, the couple will have a heartfelt, albeit distressing, conversation, and their relationship will end immediately. Both Zois will be sad after they break up, and they may get angry with each other. Zois can split households and move if things are too tense, and over time, their relationship will mend itself. Players should keep them separated for a while, or else they may have to stop physical fights from breaking out.
Players can also have their Zois marry someone new to help them get over their ex faster, but be cautious. A known bug in InZOI occasionally causes Zois to disappear after getting remarried.
Too much negativity can affect a city’s overall Karma, so be prepared to nurture the Zois through their heartbreak. Of course, players can also have them reconcile, but it may take a while for feelings to settle since their romantic relationship will be Terrible after divorcing.
