The GameSir G8 Galileo carries a $100 MSRP on Newegg, though it typically sells for around $80 on Amazon. This deal cuts that price to just $60, the lowest we’ve ever seen. That’s $40 in savings and significantly undercuts competitors like GameSir’s own G8 Galileo Plus (curr. $80 on Amazon) and the Backbone One (curr. $99 on Amazon).
Unlike other mobile controllers, the G8 Galileo features full-size controller ergonomics, similar to the much more expensive Razer Kishi Ultra. It’s the closest you’ll get to a traditional console controller, offering exceptional comfort and a familiar layout for Xbox controller users. It also has Hall Effect sensing joystick and triggers, which help eliminate stick drift issues. That said, it lacks some premium features found in its G8 Plus sibling, including gyro controls and rumble vibration.
With compatibility with devices up to 7.28 inches long, the G8 Galileo accommodates most Android smartphones, including large flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. It also supports USB-C iPhones, while its adjustable USB-C port ensures you can fit both slim and thick devices. The G8 Galileo is also one of the few mobile controllers featuring back buttons, and includes interchangeable thumbsticks in different sizes for optimized comfort and precision.
During our hands-on review, we were impressed by the controller’s excellent ergonomics and performance. It proved highly responsive and accurate in games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Unkilled, with far easier command remapping through the GameSir app.
The app unlocks additional customization, including adjusting the sensitivity of the analog stick and triggers. The controller was instantly recognized in games with native controller support and worked flawlessly in touch-first titles via its G-Touch mode. If you’re looking for a mobile controller for FPS and racing games, the G8 Galileo is a solid choice that won’t disappoint.

The Razer Kishi Ultra is a high-end, pricier alternative, but it’s a worthy splurge for those who prefer mechanical face buttons and an 8-way D-pad. This premium controller features a full-size form factor, Hall Effect sticks and triggers, plus compatibility with larger phones and tablets. Normally priced at $150, the Kishi Ultra is currently discounted to $130 on Amazon.
For an even more budget-friendly option, the EasySMX M15 features the same full-size design as the GameSir and Razer controllers, and it’s only $54 (10% off) on Amazon. Despite its lower price, it delivers impressive features, including Hall Effect joysticks (eliminating drift), mechanical buttons, and an adjustable USB-C port for various phone sizes. That said, if your budget allows, the GameSir G8 Galileo remains the superior choice with noticeably better build quality and performance.
