Summary
- The Chicken Jockey scene from A Minecraft Movie is already a Lego set.
- The set was released a month before the movie which means you can buy it right now.
- The Ghast Balloon Village Attack is also a Minecraft Movie-adjacent set that’s available now.
A Minecraft Movie has had a bigger impact than anyone could have possibly imagined during its opening weekend. Most notably, the chicken jockey scene, even though we all knew it was coming. Whether you’re one of the moviegoers who screamed and whooped at that scene this past weekend or not, you might be interested to know it has already been turned into Lego.
Even though the Minecraft movie only hit theaters a few days ago, its spinoff Lego sets have been available for a month and were revealed in January. Since none of us had seen the movie then, the sets were a little odd out of context. Now we know which scenes the sets have been pulled from, and that almost certainly means the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set is going to experience a sales spike.
Spoilers ahead for A Minecraft Movie. I’m sure you all care deeply.
A Minecraft Movie’s Chicken Jockey Lego Set Is About To Be Very Popular
The Scene Was Turned Into Lego Long Before It Made It To The Big Screen
Jack Black and the gang must head to the Woodland Mansion in the Minecraft Movie to acquire an Earth Crystal that they need after Jason Momoa shatters the original. Leaving Hank to sort that, and fight an Enderman in the process, Black and Momoa find themselves in a wrestling ring surrounded by Vindicators. It’s that scene, the one in which Momoa is forced to fight a Chicken Jockey, that has been turned into Lego.
The focus of the Lego set is the ring with a Momoa minifigure inside. Unlike in the film, the Minifigure is dwarfed by the Lego chicken jockey. There’s also a Jack Black Steve Minifigure, a Lego Hank, and The Great Hog, the giant Piglin Malgosha gives a brain in her attempts to thwart Black and claim the orb for herself.

Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring
Lego’s Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring takes a location from A Minecraft Movie and turns it into toy bricks. The set is 491 pieces and includes Minifigure versions of Jack Black and Jason Momoa’s characters in the film.
The Woodland Mansion Lego set is 491 pieces and costs $49.99 exclusively at Lego through the link in the box above. While it will be the more popular, there are two Lego sets tied to the Minecraft Movie available now. The other is The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set which is slightly bigger and more expensive. Unlike the Woodland Mansion, it includes a Lego Ghast, a Lego Iron Golem, and a couple of regular-sized Piglins. There are also lots of older Minecraft Lego sets not inspired by the movie currently in stock.
