Star Rail Characters Become Playable In The Future

From day one, Honkai: Star Rail has become one of the best gacha games for its beautiful environments, interesting story and strategic gameplay. Most of all are its amazing characters, who are designed with a ton of love and care that makes them stand leagues above any characters from HoYoverse’s other titles.

HoYoverse is consistent in adding nearly every important character when they are introduced in the story, but a few do get left behind. There are so many who we need to see playable in the future to make the universe-spanning possibilities of team compositions even more broad and varied.

Screwllum

The Greatest Hacker In The Cosmos (Erudition / Lightning)

This suspicious fellow is one of the great members of the Genius Society and has played quite a role in the story so far, at least in the background. Screwllum is an Intellitron who wishes to use his hacking skills to help solve problems between organic and non-organic life.

Being one of the coders of the Simulated Universe and a member of the Genius Society makes Screwllum a super-important character. Considering how close he is to The Herta, we would love to see him be a character who works well to support her, as well as Ruan Mei, as all three are the main creators of the Simulated Universe.

Oswaldo

A Trailblazing Mystery (Preservation / Fire)

This may be a name you recognize, but cannot remember why. Oswaldo is an important and mysterious character who we have never seen but is currently the IPC’s rank P47 head of the Marketing Development Department. He is a hot-headed individual who believes strongly in the Aeon, Qlipoth and has been all over the universe just like we have.

The interesting part about Oswaldo that we need to learn more about is that he used to be part of The Nameless. The Nameless isn’t a crew for anyone to just join whenever and Oswaldo has also been attuned to the Path of Trailblaze, meaning he must be important to the Aeon, Akivili and Trailblazer history.

Duke Inferno

The Demon Of Fire (Destruction / Fire)

This great man is a flaming Fire Demon who rules over the Ever-Flame Mansion in order to bring the Path of Destruction to cause chaos all over the cosmos. He is also referred to as Ifrit and many fear his power as he has been known to destroy entire planets and civilizations. He is an unstoppable force of Destruction and is one of the most popular NPCs around.

Sadly, he does end up being killed off-screen, which has left many fans in burning agony as he was a highly requested character. As we saw with Fugue and with other characters, being killed off doesn’t mean that you can’t be brought back or reincarnated. HoYoverse will hopefully see the pleas of the fans when they are running out of new character ideas and bring our king of Destruction back for a second round of vengeance.

Siobhan

Tending To Our Hurt Hearts (Harmony / Fire)

The wonderful Siobhan is a character you meet on Penacony. She is the second head of the Iris Family and the host of the Dreamjolt Hostelry. She specializes in bartending and mixing various drinks to help anyone who needs help with their emotions and memories.

Her design is very well put together, and we think she would make a wonderful Four-Star character focused all around her drink-mixing specialty. This could have her focusing on debuffing enemies and buffing allies, and we could see her easily being a Fire Type with some Molotov cocktails to burn those who stand in her way.

Diamond

A Strong Presence (Emanator of Preservation / Imaginary)

Diamond is the leader of the Ten Stonehearts and is also the head of IPCs Strategic Development Department. If we don’t get all ten of the Ten Stonehearts it would genuinely be a surprise, but Diamond is one of the few we absolutely need.

Being a powerful leader and an Emanator of Preservation, he will be just as strong of a party member as Acheon and The Herta are, but perhaps even stronger. From what we have learned of him, Diamond is much more aligned with solving things peacefully wherever possible, but being an Emanator means he must have very strong abilities.

Mr. Reca

Filming Our Adventure For The Records (Remembrance / Lightning)

This famous director of many great films from across the galaxy is a celebrity who deserves a spotlight in our party formations. Mr. Reca is a Memokeeper on the Path of Remembrance who has appeared in countless events and missions on Penacony. We are awaiting patiently for his turn to star in the masterpiece of a gacha game story that Honkai: Star Rail is crafting.

It would be a shame to see such a well-designed and fleshed-out NPC lose out on a chance to be playable, and we could see Mr. Reca being a unique addition to the plethora of fantastic characters. Using his cinematography skills to record your foes’ last moments and stun them would be hilarious but fits well alongside the rest of the cast.

Obsidian

A Dark Future Ahead (Preservation / Fire)

There are many members of the Ten Stonehearts that we beg will become playable at some stage, but none do we want to see more than the cold-hearted young lady, Obsidian. This predator-like member of the IPC’s Strategic Investment Development is an engima who we know little about but is known to be one of the harshest of the Ten Stonehearts.

Being on the Path of Preservation means she could be a great supportive party member like some of the other members of the Ten Stonehearts. However, from the little we know about her, she definitely enjoys violence. Perhaps you see her both protecting her team while dealing massive damage back to foes.

Phainon

The Worldbearing Hero (Rememberance / Physical)

Known as The Nameless Hero or The Deliverer, Phainon is one of the Chrysos Heirs of prophecy who is said to bring deliverance and ascend to the throne. He wields a claymore alongside the Coreflame of Worldbearing. He drifted around the cosmos after his home planet was destroyed until reaching Amphoreus and meeting with the other Heirs.

Considering how much the fan base has loved him from day one and the amount of love he and the other Chrysos Heirs have received on Amphoreus, it is more of a when will he be added more than an if. With his Coreflame in mind, you will likely see him join under the Path of Remembrance. Other Heirs, such as Aglaea had their Flame-chaser’s Path changed to this playable Path instead, and it fits Phainon well.

Pom-Pom

Your Forever Trusty Companion (Trailblaze And Harmony / Physical)

Our lovely conductor of the Astral Express, Pom-Pom, has been a favorite character from the very start of our journey. With such a memorable cute design, who doesn’t love them and with how deep and interconnected the story is, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Pom-Pom have some hidden purpose to the universe.

Now it may seem like a silly idea at first since Pom-Pom is just the conductor, but with how mysterious they are throughout the adventure, they could definitely have some powers hidden behind their ears. We adore Pom-Pom and have always wanted more events for them. If they ever do become playable, we need to pull for them until they are Eidolon level six.
