The New One Piece Opening For Egghead Part 2 Is Charged With Emotions

The new One Piece Opening Is Titled Angel and Devil

As fans of One Piece know, the anime went on quite a long hiatus, and fans had to wait for 6 months to see it return. Now, in April 2025, the anime is finally back. On April 5, 2025, the anime returned with its newest episode, One Piece episode 1123. This isn’t all as fans are expecting yet another One Piece episode tomorrow, which is the perfect way to commemorate the return of this legendary anime.

All that aside, fans were very excited to watch the newest episode that aired today. This episode continues from where the story left off in Egghead. A very interesting part of this newest episode that was released is the new opening.

Indeed, fans obviously expected for the anime to return from such a long break with a new opening and ending, and a few weeks ago, that was confirmed as well. Episode 1123 of One Piece brings a new opening, titled Angel and Devil. This new anime opening focuses heavily on Jewelry Bonney and Kuma. These two are major characters in Egghead.

Fans get to see bits and pieces of both Kuma and Bonney’s pasts, and their progress through life. Fans generally consider Kum and Bonney’s flashback to be the most heartbreaking in the story, so it is no surprise that an opening focusing primarily on it would make the fans cry.

Thankfully for fans, Toei kept most spoilers from Egghead Island to a minimum. This is definitely great news for anime-only watchers. The animation for this opening is also incredible, but that was expected, especially after a 6-month break. The group who worked on this opening is known as GRe4N BOYZ, and fans can watch this new opening by them here on YouTube:
