This powerful pirate defeated the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. This pirate is a legendary One Piece figure.

Fans also got a good glimpse of Loki in the Underworld, who was absent from the previous chapter of the story. It goes without saying that these characters are at the core of the Elbaf arc right now, so any attention being turned toward them in the final saga is appreciated by the fans. One Piece goes on break next week, but not before Oda finally set up a confrontation between the Straw Hat Pirates and the Holy Knights.

Luffy and Loki Get To Know Each Other Better

  • Loki Heals Up A Bit
  • His Past With Xebec Is Revealed

One Piece chapter 1145 was absolutely shocking in the sense that fans got to see Loki’s past for the very first time. While fans were expecting Loki’s backstory to drop at any moment now, nobody could’ve guessed that Loki actually had a connection to the legendary pirate, Rocks D. Xebec. Fans haven’t seen much of Rocks in the story at all, and while it is expected of Oda to reveal a lot of Rocks’s past at some point in the story, nobody expected him to pop up in Loki’s flashback.

I was simply born in the wrong era. — Loki after speaking to Luffy

To be precise, fans didn’t get to see the whole Loki flashback in One Piece chapter 1145. Only a small glimpse was given to the fans. But, this was the very first time Rocks had full dialogues for himself and he received a bit of characterization too. This in itself was massive for One Piece and Rocks D. Xebec himself as well.

As far as Rocks and Loki’s relationship goes, fans were told clearly that Loki looked up to Rocks the same way Luffy looks up to Shanks. Loki wanted to join the Rocks Pirates but was refused by Rocks, and the two eventually went on to battle, which the former lost terribly.

As Luffy and the group fed Loki so he heals up, Oda used the opportunity to expand upon Loki’s past and his inspirations, and there’s more to come, which only means that the upcoming chapters of the story are going to be absolutely spectacular.

Jinbe Saves The Kids Of Elbaf From Fire

The Fire From Ragnir Is Finally Put Out

It has already been revealed to the fans that Elbaf is prone to fire and the struggle of the Giants in putting out the fire caused by the Ragnir strike just put that into perspective in One Piece chapter 1145. In the end, it was Jinbe who saved the day with his trademark Kairyu Ipponzai, a powerful technique that put out the flames and saved the lives of the children.

One Piece: Oda Sets Up The First Major Straw Hat Battle In Elbaf

The first major battle in Elbaf is being set up by Oda. The upcoming fights are going to be intense in One Piece.

That said, while Jinbe’s attack saved the children from the fire, the kidnapping is still on. The children are still heading towards the coast, where they palm on taking the children hostage and demanding Elbaf submit in return. As such, more work needs to be done to secure the freedom of the children and ensure that Elbaf’s future is secured. It seems their work is cut for them, however, as Gunko finally made her move in One Piece chapter 1145.

The Holy Knights Make Their Move

Gunko Plans To Kidnap Collun

The end to One Piece chapter 1145 was rather shocking for the fans as Gunko, one of the Holy Knights, found her way to the ship of the Straw Hats in an instant. Upon sighting Collun, Gunko was quick to try and prize him away with the rest of the children, and that makes the confrontation very interesting. Right now, Gunko has six fighters in front of her, so that makes it a very difficult battle. Essentially, it’ll be a battle between Gunko and over half a Yonko crew, made up of Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Robin, Brook, and Jinbe.

This battle seems imminent, but it’ll be a while before fans get to see it unfold as One Piece goes on break. The fate of Collun and the Straw Hats hangs in balance.

One Piece chapter 1145 will be out very soon, later this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on the upcoming Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on April 6. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1145 is April 6, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
