The Genshin Impact community marked Local Legend as one method for testing their damage and team. Local Legend was first available in Fontaine, and the developer decided to bring it to Natlan, making it a great experience for those who love challenging adversity above the default level.
What makes the Local Legend different from other enemies is how their variant is slightly different from its default self, with higher damage and health, and is able to one-shot Travelers without a shield with their unique skill. One of the new Local Legends in Natlan is called Infinitesimal, an upgraded version of the Eroding Avatar of Lava in Genshin Impact. This guide will help players find the location of this enemy, how to defeat it, and all achievements related to it.

“Infinitesimal” Location in Genshin Impact
Travelers can find the Local Legend Infinitesimal in the Ancient Sacred Mountain of Genshin Impact. Once you have unlocked this map, use the teleport waypoint northeast of Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds, and head west to the challenge arena. From afar, you can see a single Eroding Avatar of Lava, and if you approach it, the challenge will start when its name appears at the top of the screen.
To unlock the Ancient Sacred Mountain map, you need to start the Frozen, Rekindling Land Quest that can be started in “Collective of Plenty.” After that, you can unlock all the waypoints in this level one by one.
Keep in mind that the map has multiple lower levels (Dragons’ Residence in the Ancient Sacred Mountain and Heart of the Sacred Mountain), and you can unlock those by completing the In Search of a Hidden Heart Quest.
How to Beat “Infinitesimal” in Genshin Impact
Note that Infinitesimal has 10% Elemental Resistance to all elements, just like its normal variant, but only after its Ward and Fury bar are destroyed. Their HP and ATK also quadrupled from normal, but also depending on your World Level. Take a look at their HP bar at the top of the screen to view the Ward and Fury bar.
Players can destroy the Geo Ward bar by using Blunt Attacks, such as Claymore Attacks, Plunging Attacks, and most Geo damage. While for the Fury bar, you can fill it with Pyro attacks. The Geo Ward protects the enemy from all damage when it’s available. If only the Ward is destroyed, the Local Legend will become damageable, but it still has high resistance to most damage. Only after the Geo Ward is destroyed and the Fury Bar is filled will Infinitesimal’s RES return to normal.
The best team for challenging this Local Legend is with Mavuika’s Melt Team or Kinich’s Burning Team. Both of them have the DPS with Claymore to chip away the Ward, while also having the Pyro elements in the rotation to fill the Fury bar.

Like any other Local Legend in Genshin Impact, Infinitesimal has three achievements that can be seen on the Achievement page inside the Duelist: Series III category. By completing all of them, you will get a total of 35 Primogems. The first achievement is straightforward: you need to defeat the Local Legend once in Genshin Impact.
The second achievement is connected to one of its attacks called Earthshaker Strike. This move is only available for the Local Legend variant and is not available for the normal variant. The Earthshaker Strike is when Infinitesimal enlarges its fists and slams the ground with three consecutive strikes. What you need to do is make sure your character does not get hit by any of these slams from the start of the battle until the end to get the second achievement.
This attack will only be used by the Local Legend when at least one of the two protections (Ward or Fury bar) is active.
The last achievement of Infinitesimal in Genshin Impact is to defeat the Local Legend when it first enters a weakened state. Travelers need to break the Ward while also filling the Fury bar. Once both requirements are fulfilled, Infinitesimal will enter a weakened state, and you can defeat it to get this achievement. The two protections will be restored after a moment, so the best plan here would be to destroy the Ward first so you can reduce its HP to below 20%, then fill the Fury bar to make it enter the weakened state before defeating it. Remember that you need to defeat the Local Legend after the first time it enters the weakened state, or it won’t count for the third achievement.
Once you defeat the Local Legend in the open world, you need to wait for a daily reset for it to respawn again. In other words, you need a total of 3 days to get all three achievements.
