How to Get the Trail Blazer Operator Skin Fast in Call of Duty: Warzone
To get the chance to unlock the Trail Blazer Operator skin in Warzone, players need to open Hidden Safes located across various points of interest in Verdansk, requiring at least 400 to 500 safes to be opened in total – though the actual number may be even higher in some cases. Enabling the Squad Fill option is one of the fastest ways to unlock the skin. If any teammate unlocks it by opening a safe, it will automatically be granted to all squad members as well. This option can be toggled in the game’s menu before entering a match.
You’ll know you’ve obtained the Operator skin when the safe contains a yellow glow instead of the usual white. Additionally, you’ll receive an in-game notification confirming that you’ve unlocked the skin.
The Trail Blazer Operator skin is a reward from the free Return to Verdansk event. However, unlike typical rewards, it’s tied to a special challenge, and the exact unlock requirement remains unknown with an extremely low drop rate.
After the launch of the Season 3 update, Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software rolled out a minor patch that added more safe spawn locations and slightly increased the chances of finding rare loot during the Return to Verdansk event.
How to Farm Verdansk Safes in Call of Duty: Warzone
The most effective way to open Safes in Warzone’s Verdansk and farm as many as possible is to jump into Plunder with a full squad and split up across points of interest that have a high concentration of safes. This strategy ensures that each player has access to multiple safes, greatly increasing your squad’s overall chances of unlocking the Operator Trail Blazer skin.
Having a transport vehicle (ideally a helicopter) is essential for efficient movement around the map and quick rotation between POIs. A great starting point is Prison, which features a helicopter at its center and is surrounded by a large number of safes to open early on. Then, you can head to Hospital, Train Station, Port, Quarry, Military Base, or Storage Town, all of which feature plenty of safe spawns.
To confirm that the Verdansk POI you’re in still have available Safes, an in-game message will appear at the top center of the screen, just below the compass, reading “Event Reward Available in this Zone.” This indicates that Safes can still be opened at that location.
