Summary
- Ubisoft excels in creating immersive game worlds with incredible detail in both base games and DLC expansions.
- DLC expansions offer innovative gameplay changes, new perspectives, and beneficial enhancements to player experiences.
- DLC expansions like Warlords of New York, Crimson Moon, and Curse of the Pharaohs add depth, challenge, and new content to popular games.
What makes Ubisoft stand out as a game developer is how they create their worlds. Whether it’s a fictional world or based on a real location, they include phenomenal details to make the environments come to life, like in Assassin’s Creed or Far Cry. What’s better is how much players can interact with the worlds through their abundance of content.
Such design isn’t exclusive to their base games, but also their DLC expansions, which sometimes feel like standalone titles with their content. Not every DLC expansion needs to be huge, but many of them do provide enough to innovate their game’s formula. The most ideal design of a DLC expansion includes beneficial changes to improve the player’s experience through a new perspective or gameplay element.
