You wouldn’t think it, but a board game just for you can be just as fun as one you play with friends.
In Stealth Mode, the villain schemes instead of attacking, but the real fun begins when you unleash all that stored threat as massive damage! In this guide, we’ve built a Nick Fury deck for each aspect, so get ready to outsmart villains—S.H.I.E.L.D. style!
Nick Fury Aggression Deck
Deck List
If you’re playing Marvel Champions on Tabletop Simulator, you can use this deck with the code 48520.
Ally Cards
Your allies are all Basic cards. Since most Aggression aspect allies only have high ATK, the allies in this deck have both high ATK and THW, making them versatile and adaptable to different situations. In general, avoid attacking with Nick Fury in Suit Form unless you have at least three threat accumulated. Instead, rely on your allies for damage.
However, if necessary, you can also use them to remove threat from the schemes. Most of your allies have the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait, meaning that if you get Sky-Destroyer into play early, you can trigger it frequently, making your allies even more effective. The allies in this deck are not particularly cheap, but there are cards included that will allow you to play them at a lower cost.
Event Cards
Aside from Nick Fury’s hero events, this deck doesn’t rely much on other event cards. The damage you need can be generated through other means.
The only non-hero event included is a single copy of Skilled Strike, which costs zero. If you already have at least three threat on your Suit Form, Skilled Strike allows your basic ATK to deal seven damage to enemies.
Player Side Schemes
Until you have enough threat on your Suit Form, it’s a good idea to avoid attacking with Nick Fury. If you’re keeping schemes under control, consider defeating Player Side Schemes so your turns aren’t wasted and you can trigger their beneficial effects. Since your allies have decent THW, you can use them to clear these schemes as well.
Since thwarting also adds threat to your Suit Form, it creates a win-win situation. Defeating Keep Them Busy makes it easier to keep the main scheme in check, while clearing Keep Up The Pressure allows you to find cards like Concentrated Fire or Spray Fire from your deck or discard pile.
Support Cards
If you can set up Boot Camp, your already powerful allies become even deadlier, allowing Nick Fury to stay focused on thwarting. Government Liaison lets you play S.H.I.E.L.D. cards, which are abundant in this deck, at a reduced cost.
Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz also have the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait and help you play key cards like Fury’s Flying Car, EM Shield, and Eyepatch Camera more easily. Tac Team is another S.H.I.E.L.D. support card, it becomes cheaper to play with your other support effects while preventing the Suit Form from shifting into Assault mode.
The Bellerophon is another S.H.I.E.L.D. support card that boosts your offensive capabilities and removes Tough status cards before use, making it especially useful when facing Nick Fury’s Nemesis.
Upgrade Cards
With Fluid Motion, you gain one ATK after playing an attack event, allowing you to deal heavy damage with the threat stored on your Suit Form. If you’ve also played Combat Training, there’s nothing stopping you from delivering massive damage in a single turn by leveraging your deck’s other cards and Suit Form threat.
Additionally, Secret Agent lets you move a threat to your Suit Form upgrade after triggering a Preparation card effect. Since Lie in Wait and Target Acquired have the Preparation trait, they will help activate Secret Agent frequently.
Nick Fury Justice Deck
Deck List
If you’re playing Marvel Champions on Tabletop Simulator, you can use this deck with the code 48522.
Ally Cards
Most of your allies have the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait, allowing strong synergy with other cards in your deck. While thwarting with Nick Fury, it is more beneficial to attack using your allies. Playing Agent Coulson lets you search your deck or discard pile for a useful Preparation card to add to your hand.
Additionally, Monica Chang helps bring a Surveillance Team into play, making it easier to keep schemes under control. Although Jessica Jones lacks the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait, she is still useful due to the large number of Player Side Schemes in your deck.
Event Cards
This deck doesn’t require many event cards, as Nick Fury’s hero events provide offensive capabilities. Brains Over Brawn allows you to deal damage equal to your THW to an enemy after thwarting, making it a key card for multitasking. However, since playing attack event cards will shift your Suit Form to the Assault side, you should carefully consider when to use them.
Player Side Schemes
Your deck includes enough Player Side Schemes that you can focus on them after securing control over the main scheme. Clearing them provides different benefits, and you can use your allies to help defeat them when necessary. Playing Build Support early to get Sky-Destroyer into play will give you an offensive advantage.
Since Heroic Intuition increases Nick Fury’s THW, removing Player Side Schemes becomes even easier. Defeating Lay The Trap deals five damage per player to the villain, helping you wear them down while simultaneously adding threat to your Suit Form.
Support Cards
Since nearly all of your allies have the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait, Field Agent will reduce their consequential damage, allowing them to stay in play longer. Although The Douglass is an expensive card, you can play it more easily with the help of Government Liaison and Helicarrier, which reduce the cost of expensive cards and those with the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait.
It’s best to play The Douglass after setting up Player Side Schemes to maximize its impact on scheme control.
Upgrade Cards
Your upgrade cards include several with the Preparation trait, giving you more options when playing Agent Coulson and making Secret Agent more effective. Followed allows you to deal four damage to an enemy when a scheme is defeated, providing a way to eliminate threats without shifting your Suit Form to the Assault side.
Spycraft helps mitigate problematic encounter cards like Shadow of the Past by discarding them and drawing another encounter card instead. Finally, Practiced Plan lets you return a Preparation card to your hand when one is discarded, ensuring a steady flow of useful effects.
Nick Fury Leadership Deck
Deck List
If you’re playing Marvel Champions on Tabletop Simulator, you can use this deck with the code 48523.
Ally Cards
Since this deck is built around the Leadership aspect, it includes several strong allies, many of whom also have the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait. The deck contains enough attachment upgrades, making Iron Man particularly valuable—once he’s in play, you can attach these upgrades to him at a reduced cost.
Yondu is another standout ally because he does not take consequential damage when attacking, meaning he can stay in play indefinitely as long as he isn’t put at risk. Additionally, the Sidekick upgrade allows you to designate a useful ally as your Sidekick, boosting their hit points and letting them heal whenever you recover.
Event Cards
This deck doesn’t rely heavily on event cards, and the ones included focus on enhancing your allies. Side-by-Side allows you and your Sidekick ally to ready and increases both characters’ THW and ATK stats by one.
Meanwhile, Sneak Attack lets you put an ally with a matching trait (S.H.I.E.L.D. or Spy) into play until the end of the phase—making it a great way to temporarily summon allies like Dum Dum Dugan or Nick Fury, Sr. for a strong impact.
Player Side Schemes
Since thwarting with Nick Fury is both rewarding and useful, the deck includes four Player Side Schemes. Combining Specialized Training with the Surveillance Specialist upgrade makes controlling schemes easier while also letting you draw an extra card each time you thwart.
Call for Backup provides another advantage by allowing you to bring a powerful ally into play without paying its cost. Lastly, defeating Build Support early enables you to bring Sky-Destroyer into play, which further increases the value of your S.H.I.E.L.D. cards.
Support Cards
This deck includes a variety of Support cards, most of which reduce the cost of S.H.I.E.L.D. cards. Command Team lets you activate your strong allies twice in a single turn, maximizing their efficiency.
Team Training increases the hit points of your allies, helping them stay in play longer and absorb more damage. Additionally, Government Liaison cards allow you to play The Circe more easily—once in play, The Circe lets you put an ally from your hand into play twice for free, offering incredible value.
Upgrade Cards
The Upgrade cards in this deck are designed to further enhance your allies, making them the key solution to most challenges. Attaching offensive upgrades to Iron Man or Yondu will provide the greatest benefits.
Meanwhile, Rapid Response ensures that critical allies like Dum Dum Dugan or other powerful characters return to the battlefield after being defeated, making them a persistent threat to your enemies.
Nick Fury Protection Deck
Deck List
If you’re playing Marvel Champions on Tabletop Simulator, you can use this deck with the code 48525.
Ally Cards
This deck features several S.H.I.E.L.D. allies that share the same trait as Nick Fury, allowing for strong synergies with other cards in the deck. Additionally, Black Widow is another S.H.I.E.L.D. character, and her ability lets you replace a troublesome encounter card before it resolves.
Since her ability requires a science resource, you can generate it with Fury’s Watch. Mockingbird is also included, offering a way to stun the villain or a dangerous minion, buying you a crucial turn to stabilize the game.
Event Cards
Among the event cards, Jump Flip allows you to deal damage to enemies while defending, without switching to the Assault side of your Suit Form. Riposte serves a similar function—it boosts your DEF while taking damage, and if you avoid taking damage, it deals damage back to the enemy.
This deck also includes multiple Tech-traited cards, which can be discarded using Repurpose to temporarily boost one of your stats for the round, helping you tackle challenging situations.
Player Side Schemes
Player Side Schemes are crucial in Nick Fury decks since thwarting adds threat to your Suit Form, enabling you to unleash high damage in future rounds. Because of this, you should prioritize defeating these side schemes when possible.
Render Medical Aid lets you heal key allies like Dum Dum Dugan, prolonging their presence on the board. Establish Perimeter is an easy-to-defeat side scheme that grants Tough to Nick Fury, adding valuable survivability.
Support Cards
Among the Support cards, Government Liaison helps reduce the cost of playing S.H.I.E.L.D. cards. Jemma Simmons generates resources specifically for Tech-traited cards, making it easier to play them efficiently.
Leo Fitz is useful while in Alter Ego form, allowing you to fetch a Tech card from your deck or discard pile, ensuring you have the right tools for setup. With Repurpose, you can discard these Tech cards to gain a temporary boost to a chosen stat.
Upgrade Cards
Among the Upgrade cards, Anticipation and Defensive Stance both have the Preparation trait, making them synergistic with Secret Agent and Practiced Plan. Defensive Stance protects you from damage without requiring you to defend actively.
Electrostatic Armor and Energy Barrier create a powerful combo that lets you damage enemies without needing to attack, ensuring your Suit Form does not switch to the Assault side.
